Just finished setup Zaccaria pinball on pinup popper using guide:

https://www.nailbust...=setup_zaccaria

I will also offer my thanks to Pritch33 for the wheels, Sneakily1 for the tarc loading,Scampa123 for the BG recording videos and godisnothere for the theme.

Saved a lot of time using artwork provided.

One small problem I can not figure out how to use and update Player 2 to 4 wheel icons. Which are enclosed in default/system folder.

Placing these files in default/system folder seems to nothing. Guess I missed a step somewhere or a button to click to update system wheel icons.

Help?

I don't know the Zaccaria program, but I can give some hints according Popper.

You have to copy the icon files to the according emulator directory not the default dir. This dir is mainly used when creating a new emulator.

PUP copies all files from the directory “c:\VPinball\PinUPSystem\POPMedia\Default\System” to the system subdirectory of the new emulator entry.

By changing or overwriting these default media files, it is possible to give newly created emulator entries the same changed media files.

For emulators that have already been created, the files must be copied manually.

Take a look at my docu in chapter 15.5 , there I have described the whole part more in detail. Link in the footer.

Thanks for information. Checked my Zaccaria folder has all files/folders from c:\VPinball\PinUPSystem\POPMedia\Default\System.

But no matter what images or thumbnail I change in Zaccaria folder I can not update wheel icons for starting Player 2 to 4.

Would help if I had another emulator that used start 2 players or more or what files are called and where the go.

.zip file that had all Zaccaria media had 2 folders default/system (Which has wheel icons zplayers2.png, zplayers3.png, zplayers3.png).  Zaccaria Pinball folder (Which has backglass, playfield, system & wheel folders).

No problem with popper finding images for tables just wheel icons if you are starting 2 or more players.

I have tested this, and you were right. In case of the wheel icons PUP takes the files from the default\system dir.

But I forgot to mention something important: when icon files are changed, the thumbnail cache of Popper has to be cleared.

Popper creates at first run for each wheel icon a small one and saves it in the pthumbs directory.

To delete the cached files, run PinUpMenuSetup, goto poppersetup, Globalconfig, game/wheel toolbar, and click "reset all thumbs". Then start PUP.

Sorry for that..

Can now change default thumbnail for start game, but not wheels for players2,3 & 4.

Text under wheel reads "Start zplayers2" (3 & 4), tried file names "zplayers2_thumb", "Startzplayers2_thumb" & "Start_zplayers2_thumb".

Anyway of finding out what poppers default file names are for players2, 3 & 4?

in Popper the file named "startgame.png" is the default icon to start a game. Its located in the default\system dir. Popper uses always this file.

You mean that the icons for the players are always the same and they are configured in gamemanager in the alternate run field?

I don't think that its possible to use different icons for these alterate run parts.

game manager settings:

https://drive.google...?usp=drive_link).

Checked emulator media file folder:

C:\vPinball\PinUPSystem\POPMedia\Zaccaria Pinball

Checked C:\vPinball\PinUPSystem\POPMedia\Default\System has zplayers2.png, zplayers3.png & zplayers3.png

Launch script:

START "" "[STARTDIR]Launch\VPXSTARTER.exe" 5 5 5 "Zaccaria Pinball"
SET ALTPARAM=_player 1
if "[ALTMODE]"=="zplayers2" (SET ALTPARAM=_player 2 )
if "[ALTMODE]"=="zplayers3" (SET ALTPARAM=_player 3 )
if "[ALTMODE]"=="zplayers4" (SET ALTPARAM=_player 4 )
START "" "[DIREMU]\steam.exe" -applaunch 444930 -rotate right -skipmenu "[GAMENAME]" -skipmenu%ALTPARAM% -skipmenu_gamemode classic_simulation

But still wheel icon for starting player2, 3 & 4 same as one another.

Ah, I see.

I think you will have configured everything correctly.
I found a tutorial video in YT from nailbuster about this part. At 16:08 you can see that his player icons are all the same. https://youtu.be/3XggeD1gHF0?t=964
I also repeated the test based on this video and configured the Zaccaria emulator, downloaded the media files and copied them. But that doesn't work, the icons displayed for the players are always the same.
It therefore makes no sense that nailbuster copied the additional icons. At first I thought that the software was using the right icon based on the altrun parameter in the game manager. But no, it isn't.

I cannot help further on, perhaps you ask in this facebook group https://www.facebook...602697096474910

Thanks for your help looking into this. It's only a small problem after 20 hours of reinstalling and setting up new PC in pinball cabinet. So likely I will leave it be.

Yes likely next step would be nailbuster. And that might some in future when I want to put more tweets to setup.

Has anyone figured out how to get this working correctly?  I am facing the exact issue outlined above and cannot get the "2/3/4 player" icons to display properly (still shows the "startgame.png" graphic).  I, too, am trying to get them to work for Zaccaria Pinball but will be updating the other emulators as well once I can get this figured out.  Is this just not possible as was previously mentioned for emulator "alt" modes?

you should address this issue to nailbuster, he has published the 1.6 beta of PinUpSystem for testing. perhaps its fixed? don't know..

https://vpuniverse.c...v16-beta-files/

and here:

https://www.nailbust...php?id=beta2026

But be aware, don't overwrite your production files, that's a beta version with issues.
