hey guys

After a little bit of arm twisting, I've convinced JPSalas to once again come back and work on Scared Stiff with me. Yes there is a decent version for VP9 but you know, we wanted to convert our prototype model over and make it the last word, from us anyway, on this particular table.

He is rebuilding the table from scratch, using mainly the graphics I did for the previous version. So not a lot for me to do! I'll be working on a new spider at some point, but because JP won't bang his own drum, I have to do it for him. Have a look at his WIP, hard to believe this but yes, this is angle independent. No reels, no decals. sweet huh! What a star smile.gif

re the spider. Since the spider only comes on when no ball is in play (I think) we will most likely have something that appears on screen in front of the table. This would also potentially allow it to be moved to the second monitor.

Looking good, glad to see this in wip - I like all of the elvira themed pbs.

Excellent, Highrise! I liked when you said "make it the last word." smile.gif For me your prototype table was already very good job and the best so far though VP8.
Wonderful news! Thanks Highrise! Thanks to JP too.

Ps. I'm curious how will be spin spider. No need 2 monitors? Interesting!

Big Thanks to my friend Hassanchop for this very nice dmd.

Glad to hear another SS is in the works, although I don't play VP much anymore the last time I did it was your SS table. I will definately give this one a well deserved spin. You're gonna get me hooked on VP again which isn't a bad thing at all. cool.gif

I've been following the SS screenies on JP's site and I was wondering when a WIP thread would show up here!! Looking great!!

if anyone has a really good hi-res shot of the backglass with the spider in it, that would be very useful.

reagrding the spin spider, JP and I think we have a way we can do it that will be pretty nice. And it should be moveable to a second monitor if that was what you really wanted to do.

but of course we could do with a nice picture of the spider to make it work in the higher detail we'd like...

I now have a good picture of the spider so I'll work with that. Still, a hires backglass image would still be useful, especially one without the spider in place, but that is probably too much to ask haha

That's the best I have at the moment.

I can go to Pinball Pete's and get some more shots, if there's something you need in particular. I go about once a week....

Let me know.

Manofwar was planning to integrate moving parts into the UltraVPServer .. might wonder what the status is on that.

Cheers,
FD.

well, I've seen that they figured out a way of putting the DMD reels I made for JP's Spiderman table onto a second monitor so I think they should not have too much trouble moving them over. It'll need a little tweak in the script but should otherwise be fine. A bridge to cross when we come to it I think.

The VP 8 version of this was awesome and a true masterpiece. I'm sure this version will do the same honors as well.

What about EATPM are you going to redo that one as well?
