Shader::CompileGLShader@1113 ;

i am getting this error code in the vpinball.log file

it happens at any table i try in vpx.

i have tried so many tables to run i lost count but none will even startup.

i have downloaded many tables from here on vpforums.org

i had tables which only consisted of one .vpx file and ones

with up to several files, vbs and also with pinmame roms.

the computer is a desktop i3.

i have tried vpx also on a different pc a laptop running linux xubuntu 22 lts,

and the same result. ??

it were the correct tables - vpx tables, i dont get what i am doing wrong here.

help

In VPX, if you click on File- New and open one of the tables, does that table start?

Share details on how you installed VPX and your pc hardware details

i cannot even get into vpx when i run it on both pcs.

one is a desktop i3 3220 with 4 gb ram and the other a laptop with 4 gb also.

the desktop i3 has opengl 4.5, and the laptop some intel hd integrated card i dont know which ver.

the desktop runs batocera v 39 with visual pinball x preinstalled and

the laptop has xubuntu 22 lts installed visual pinball through software centre.

when i try to start any table from the desktop i3 it just returns to the menu

(i have done everything correctly according to wikis and google)

and on the laptop i have tried running it by cli but nothing happens, it will not even get me

into any sort of menu on both.

what are the minimum specs actually for vpx ?

i tried googling the min specs for vpx but i could not find anything.

also i have tried ultra small size vpx tables too, like ones of a few mb only, but

same result. all i see in the vpinball.log file is this error Shader::CompileGLShader@1113

after i run a table as last entry in the log file. at every table so this must be the culprit.

I have an old laptop, intel i7 gen 3 with HD4000 video (the laptop's discrete Nvidia GT650m GPU has died so currently just running integrated HD4000.

The HD4000 is not compatible with GL version of VPX and crashes when starting any table as GL version is too old.

than i guess this is the problem. i have also tried future pinball on both but fp requires an nvidia card to even startup.

seems that the specs of the computers i want to run vpx and/or fp on are just too low.

can anyone tell me why i can nowhere find the minimum requirements specs for vpx anywhere ?
