Hello, I am new and working on my first table Back to the future but the backglass will not show! I looked in the script and can not find B2S anywhere? What should I do?

There must be some code like that:

 

 

Dim IHaveB2Sinstalled 'If you haven't B2S installed, set in False

IHaveB2Sinstalled = True

 

If IHaveB2Sinstalled = True Then

    Set B2SController=CreateObject("B2S.Server")

    B2SController.B2SName="Your_Table_Name"     

    B2SController.Run

End If

 

 

 

Remember that the Backglass file has to have the same name as your table in your folder.

It's best to describe exactly which one of these tables has that problem. There are several BTTF-tables and versions. A good overview is the virtual pinball spreadsheet https://virtual-pinb...dsheet.web.app/

As you haven't descibed your software version and installation, what you have how configured, it's difficult to give an appropriate solution.

• Do other backglasses from other tables work?
• at first use simple pins, EM-Pins like bronco or 4 queens which don't use a ROM
• how do you have installed B2SServer ? using baller-installer or manually installed?
• is B2S-server registered using "B2SBackglassServerRegisterApp.exe" ?
• you must have configured a "screenres.txt" and a "B2STableSettings.xml", both are in the table-directory (at first)
  you can configure the screenres.txt using B2S_ScreenResIdentifier.exe , check the screen-config that this is configured is correctly.
• check in VPX "Preferences, Configure keys Nudge and DOF" that "Disable B2S" is not checked

important: every time when vpx is updated, must be checked, that the vbs-files which are included with that update-files, are also updated copying to the script-dir. of vpx

 

@Epec. In newer, native VPX-tables, there is no longer an explicit call of b2S-server controller. All this happens within controller.vbs which is referenced at top of the table script.
