File Name: Frank Thomas' Big Hurt (Gottlieb 1995)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 27 Feb 2023

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, roccodimarco, dboyrecords, Destruk, VPMXtreme
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1995
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This table from roccodimarco, dboyrecords, Destruk and VPMXtreme dates back to 2002.
I've converted it to VPX, got everything working and did a full rebuild and makeover. It's lots of fun!
It has VR room added by Mike DA Spike
2.0 has a new glove and physics and catches work better now.
Enjoy :)

Nicely updated Bigus1, thanks for the work that went into it! I do wonder why the glove movement isn't smooth though. Its a bit unnerving watching it in motion :) Plays great though!

Is there a way to make it move smoothly?

It's flipbook animation with only 10 frames. I'm hoping a prim will show-up for it because it doesn't look like the real one. I focused on getting it running and the bling can come later, hopefully :)

Not looking to break any rules, but, would it be allowed to take pieces from the "banned" Frank Thomas table to help make this one better?  Such as the glove animation?  Just curious as to where the board stands on this area.

Was there a banned version ? Never heard about it.
Do you know why it was banned?

From what I heard, some parts were taken from Pinball Arcade, same with a Lights Camera Action.

i was only aware of Ghostbusters. Good to hear some of these stories

For the VR people: the cabinet has 2 small security bar brackets (as ahown on a picture on ipdb). Dough Nut created the 3d objects for me.
Watch closely and uou can see them

These small objects cause me multiple bruises, as I wanted to look in VR close to the objects and bumped my head multiple times...)
