I'm running VPX tables with my VirtuaPin Plunger on my cab without problems.

Recently, I've managed to integrate the plunger into my Pinball FX3 installation via the X360CE emulator. The nudge is working. The plunger? Ehhh. Almost.

Let me show you an example. This is the plunger of the "Infinity Gauntlet" table when I hold down ENTER to launch the ball.

You'll see that I'm able to max out the power of the shot.

If I try to do the same with my plunger (i.e. pulling it out all the way), I only get about 80% of the shot power.

I've been trying to figure out how to get a greater range in X360CE, but I can't seem to figure it out.

For reference, here are my settings in idle mode (nothing pressed or pulled): The right stick Y axis is the plunger, and the left stick X and Y axes control the nudge.

Now here is the same image when I pull the plunger out all the way. Note how the Y value of the right stick decreases.

My problem is, I need this number to decrease FURTHER in order to pull the game plunger in Pinball FX3 out all the way.

And I have no idea how to do it.

I've tried fiddling with the dead zone settings for the right stick, but all that does is reach the number -31130 quicker, not increase the range.

Does anyone have any ideas?

TL;DR: How can I make my VirtuaPin plunger register a broader range in Pinball FX3?

I don't use X360ce, I use JoyToKey on my AtGames Legends Pinball (a similar situation).

You have Steam-Input disabled for Pinball-FX3, right?

Can you see the plunger's axis in Windows Game-Controller Calibration TEST (don't calibrate, just test ... it's non-destructive). If so, does that axis go all the way to 100%.

I assume you want to do variable analog skill-shots? If not, you should be able to fire-off the (keyboard's) Enter-key  which is the "Launch Ball Button" (pretty sure that always launches the ball at 100%).

Yep.

Hard to say. This is the device at rest

and this is the plunger pulled all the way out.

No idea if that's 100% or just 95. Is there a calibration tool somewhere that gives you percent readings?

I know - but the problem with the Enter key is that it's impossible to hold in one position while adjusting the strength of your shot.

I also experimented with the "Plunger range" settings in the VirtuaPin Controller panel, but no joy yet :-(

Could you pull the plunger ALL the way back and post a pic of your settings in the VirtuaPin Controller config software?

Hard to say. Looks like it is coming-up a little short (see last pic):

https://www.howtogee...-in-windows-10/

Additionally, when I check the plunger on my ALP here, it hits 100%, and then I can keep pulling another 1/2-inch or so. Meaning, it would be impossible for me to have this problem if I was pulling it all the way back.

Sounds like your problem might be inside Pinscape software (whatever that is) especially if it operates at the "controller level" before Windows.

Gladly - I'm not sure I understand all of the settings.

This is my setup at rest:

And this is it with the plunger pulled out all the way:

In both cases, the right yellow column is jittery, displaying values of +5 to -5 of the value in the screenshot.

Your plunger settings look good, but the range does seem short.

I usually see ranges of 650-1000 when initially setting them up. It's possible it's in the mounting, or the provided plunger tip is dirty.

How is it mounted? A pic possible?

Also, if you click on Help, and go to Support, every setting is defined.
