This is a MOD of -=Kees=- Jackpot table.
changes include:
bumper skirts are white now
new sounds from a real Jackpot table
Fixed so this can be played fullscreen in cabinets now
directB2S and script updates to support it

Thanks to all involved with -=Kees=- original version.

My view on Jackpot: I bought the game for two (brothers) mates. It was cheap because in the late 70's a game without a bonus count down at ball end was regardless of the 3" flippers unpopular. But we have had a lot of fun with "Jackpot"!!! Here I offer you my ....

Version 1.0b with these changes:
game
- time controlled counting of multiple earnings, e.g 500 are now counted as 5 x 100
- added screws at bumper caps and made these a little larger
- added screws at upper apron
- material assignment to all metal sheet surfaces improved (not appearing black anymore)
- new game physics - cab optimized
- new POV for cab users
- all object sounds in operation
- "new" post between the flippers (taken from Jeff`s Amigo)
- green and yellow bumpers parallel engaged (thanks to jejepinball & kiwi for their support)
- slight layout change -> reduces ball losses at outer side lanes
- the plastics illumination stays always on (the original behavior of all Williams EMs)
BG
- added bulbs per each player for a more natural reel illumination
- turning score reels
- new fonts for messages, as close as possible to the original
- credit reel illuminated, it switches off when credits are 0
- new lights control

*.zip contains: game, BG and pics for cab usurers

One question to the community: has anyone a better solution for the Shoot Again light on the playfield?

All this in kind tribute to Jeff Whitehead.

On this table I see that the bumpers work even without ball contact... when the yellow bumper is activated, the two yellow ones work and the same for the green ones... is this correct?

Many EM tables used to do that. It was cheaper to use one solenoid for both bumpers :D I guess this is one of them.

Hello Teisen,

I have checked the wiring of Jackpot, your doubts are justified - in this game all bumpers are controlled individually. However it was a "sign of the time" for EM games of mainly Gottlieb and particularly Williams (I have never seen that at Bally games) to wire bumpers with the same scoring in parallel. The benefit was one relay less. I think it was a question of which engineer team at Williams was in charge to design the circuits. If you don't like this comment out the "Play"- command at the bumpers.

All the best, Christian.

Apparently, even Stern's new Bond Premium does this as well! Check out the bumpers in this live stream:

Hello Outhere,

see here (line 1266):

Sub Bumper1_Hit()
If Bumperlight1.state=1 then addscore 100 else addscore 10
Playsound "jet1"
Bumper4.PlayHit()
End Sub

All the best, Christian.

Somehow the scoring reels don't work on the main display.

I am using a 2 screen setup in desktop mode, and the backglass reels work fine, just not the ones at the table.

Previous versions of the table the reels work fine.

The reels seem to also show the score from the last game played.

UNcomment lines 312-315 & the reels will reset.

Thanks.  But that still leaves the problem of the reels not scoring.

I agree to Clyde's recommendation, nothing else was changed from my side, does the initial version from -=Kees=- shows the same flaw? Reason for my change was to suppress the ugly reset sound from the BG.

Hi DJ,

I checked that, -=Kees=-'s version is not B2S compatible, maybe the later adaption to run with B2S is the reason. Sorry I am not familiar with DT functionalities, I do not know where to look.

I am also running on DT & the reels work fine. Odd they're not working for him. Has to be something on his end.
