The Windows 11 option that automatically enables hdr to non hdr displays looks interesting.

Before upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I would like to know what others experienced upgrading the OS.  I use VP10.7.1 and Steam FX3 in my three display cab, with SSF and all the toys.

Was it easy and transparent, or a royal pain?  Would you recommend it or not?

Thank you,

garnel

My pc,

Ryzen 5 5600x

32G RAM

RTX 3070

I have had 0 issues with windows 11

It will do an upgrade install fine
But as always, i suggest the really best way is
back up your files, your configs, export your important reg entries etc

Do a clean OS install, bring your drivers etc all up to date

Run a token install of vpx, or baller installer if you use pinup, DOF Framework and what ever other things you need
install to same folder structure as before

Then go to your backup, and drop your backed up stuff ontop of the new install, allowing overwrite of everything

import your registry stuff you exported for backup

And you should be ready to rock and roll

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

I've had NOTHING but good luck with windows 11.  It's snappy, clean, and not a bug one since almost a year ago now.  Cab is up and into Popper in <20seconds.

I did debloat it and keep up with the updates if that's of any concern.

It was totally easy. My Vpin Stuff was remaining on D.
I renamed D:\visual Pinball to something, installed the basic installer to D:Visual Pinball, deleted that folder, renamed my folder back to D:\Visual Pinball and registered B2S-Server etc. Everything was running without problems using the old folder structure.

Hi dear,

My Windows 11 upgrade fails at 82% with error code 0xC1900101. I’ve enabled TPM 2.0 and have enough space. Any fixes?

Please provide me some guide.
