Hey guys,

Looking to add real pinball flipper assemblies to my cabinet for L and R primary flippers.

Ideally want to run this with 12V DC.

Have some old flipper assemblies which I could use but the switches are shot and the overall condition is not as clean/smooth as I would like. Looks like pinball assemblies new cost around $50/each.

Need help picking coil size for 12V DC.

Looking at a coil type (SFL-23-600/30-2600-DC) which has resistance at 2.8 ohm (initial) and 73.4 ohm (energized) according to Coil Resistance Chart (flippers.com)

Do you guys think this would work well with 12V DC?

How can you tell if that coil can move the solenoid enough for a "loud" noise that I am looking for?

Thanks for any pointers...

  David
