  • I have been working very hard lately to try to finish the table, but unfortunately it is still not finished.
  • I hope you will enjoy my work.
  • Here are the updates:
  • - Changed the Fire animation to a video
  • - Table cleaned up (Useless function removed)
  • - Inserted "Last Chance" mode when the last ball is lost, press the "Launch ball" button before the bonus is calculated and added to the scores (When the ball is passed the 2 flippers...)
  • - Replay mode has been added. 120.000 (customizable)
  • - The catapult mode is a bit more complete
  • - added a 5 "High Score
  • - changed the font to 14 segment display for the Black Knight Retro 2000 mode
  • - Video intro Black Knight Retro 2000
  • - Added Score War Hurry Up
  • - Added Super Modes (Super Spin, Pops, ...)
  • - Added 4 Super Modes (yellow, red, Magenta, green)
  • - Added Layers Super Modes ---> Important to reload the PupPack !!!!!!!
  • - Recovery of the Super mode kitty
  • - Adding the "Attract Loop" Score + Tutorial
  • -Recompilation of Lich Lord videos --> Important to reload the PupPack !!!!!!!
  • - added layer with the safe and score the points recovered.
  • - Addition of the super mode on the wheel
  • - added a timer and display it in the top left corner to get the Super Mode score.
  • - Added the ExtraBall
  • - Fixed the Shoot Again lamp
  • - Fixed display of "Total" mode when the ball is drained (conflict with bonus points display).
  • Fixed a bug on the "Last chance" mode
  • - Added Mystery mode.
  • Added HighScore mode (DeepFreeze HighScore, Catapult HighScore,....) in the "Attract Loop".
  • - Scores of the Super mode have been adapted to the official version V1.12
  • - Added layers to enter initials when a HighScore is obtained.

  • - add the Black Knight voices
  • - Fix maybe even the "Drain" part
  • - Fix also the missions (I noticed that the missions can conflict).

  • 2.68 War Hurry mode complete but light conflict
  • I decided to tackle the crashing problem with PupPack, unfortunately the method I used (coming from the "DeathPool" pinball machine) did not solve the problem.
  • I kept the improvements in progress and I went back to the old "playmedia(...)" method but I haven't finished integrating everything yet (I was stuck on the SetBackGround method for a long time, but now it's good, I hope the background management is good).
  • I noticed that the crash is still present.
  • I adapted the images and pupoverlay to be at the same original size of the videos, that is 1360 x 768.
  • I will put a variable later that will allow to choose between animated images or a video (successive images tend to make PupPack crash).
  • I still have to check if VLC is the right version (2.2.8) and if my settings are right...
  • In short, I still have some work to do before fixing some bugs...

Is there a way to get the PUP videos on my full DMD screen rather than on the backglass screen?  Like the real table is?

(This is probably just my lack of understanding PUP videos and knowing how to adjust the screens.txt file, etc.)

In your PinupPlayer installation folder load the PinupPackEditor

 

Load a currently working Pinup pack - I used TNA

 

You will see a list of numbers in the Custom Position.  eg 40,,1,0,etc     Copy these

Hit Cancel changes button and then load the Bksor pup pack

and paste those numbers into DMD, Backglass and Backglass2 custom position sections and then Save the pup pack

and that should have it all displaying on your DMD.

 

Had only just worked this out the other day so I hope this helps !!

I would like to make a menu that allows to change these options... But for the moment I still have bugs... this weekend I attacked the Drain management system (I almost finished this part there it is in test to see if there is no bug...)

Hello Faraon,

 

I have the same problem, I managed to reproduce the "Freeze" of the videos, if I saw right it is the "BypassVideo" variable which is not declared everywhere.
I made the correction and for the moment at home it does not block anymore...
I am currently checking if "Base Bonus" is correctly calculated and apparently the calculation is not good...
I am analyzing with several videos on youtube but it is very long...

I keep getting a triggers error when trying to edit pup pack, making it not possible to do. May I ask how you were able to correct this?  Thanks!

I think the version you are using of PinUpPlayer is different, I think I had the same problem...
But if you want to change the backglass screens to DMD, normally one procedure is enough

Thank you for the pic, you're correct.  Thought mine looked the same as yours at first until I saw that I was missing the "list all roms" at the top of my screen. Thought I was using version 1.46, turned out to be 1.45. Error now gone.  Thank you for your response and all the work you're putting into this project - I think you're doing a great job!

Hello,  just wondering how to get it to FreePlay.  I see in the script:

233 Dim bFreePlay 

but not sure what to edit there to make it FreePlay.  

 

Also,  the 3 files uploaded to your google drive was only for backglass dmd I believe.  I tried just copying triggers and playlist over and keeping the original screen file but I lose all the scoring.  So right now I have video on my backglass and scoring on my full DMD screen.

No, I didn't plan like on the original pinball machine the FreePlay mode.
The variable comes from another pinball machine (pinball machine that served as my inspiration).
I can plan later to add a FreePlay version when I work on the menu...
But it will take me more time, I would like to improve the physics of the management of the lamps and??
 
If you have downloaded the latest version, please pay attention that the default display is on the backglass (score & video) and not on the dmd...
If you have configured the old version to work with the DMD screen check the following lines:
' Const pDMD=11
' Const pBackglass=1
Const pDMD=1
Const pBackglass=2
 
Change to:
Const pDMD=11
Const pBackglass=1
' Const pDMD=1
' Const pBackglass=2

Table is really looking nice! Thanx alot. But having some trouble understanding the game parameters. What would the config be for a 2 screen setup with a pin2dmd led DMD ? When I use real DMD, the pin2dmd turns completely white. Thanks in advance !

why does this lag so hard on my machine lol. it doesn't seem to have incredible graphics or anything... don't get it.

This lags greatly on my system too. i'm avg 42FPS on this table, when all others im locked at 60 no problem. Specs are ryzen 5 5600 16gb ram 512gb m.2 SSD, and evga 3060 running 4k. Hopefully this table sees some optimizatrion as its really looking good! thanks for the work put into this!
