Hi@all.

i have some issues with ball stutter and frame drops on some tables. One of them is Dr. Who. The time expender makes the ball stutter extremly and couses a massive frame drop. When i first start the table and the expander is moving at the beginnig it runs fine. It begins to stutter when i get the two balls in and the expander moves up. Then a extrem frame drop when the expander moves down and releasing the multiballs. After the expander stops movin it runs fine so far.

On other tables like popeye it seems to be a nearly same problem with moving parts. The ball stutter too when it gets through the carousel after lauching the ball.

I have a small 22" cabinet with 3 monitors.

Mon 1: 22" 1680x1050 playfield

Mon 2: 17" 1280x1024 backglass

Mon 3:  8" 1280x400 DMD

CPU: AMD FX 6100 (6 cores) with a little OC

8 GB RAM dual channel

Geforce GTX 1050TI latest driver

500GB SSD

VPX 10.6.1

Windows 10 Pro 64 BIT

PinUp Popper / B2S / DOF

Even if i set vpx up for low-end devices in the video options, the table behaves the same, maybe with a small differenc on performance. I treid different setting in the nvidia control panel, No matter if with backglass or without. Even if only playfield monitor is active, the same issue.

Is it a tabel or VPX problem? Is my CPU the bottleneck?

Thanks.

Did you try with VPX 10.7, too, e.g.: https://github.com/v...ase-win-x86.zip

or the all in one installer: https://github.com/v...-.VPX7setup.zip

Will give it a try today with the actual final. I tried the beta some time ago but not because of the issues. Are there any known improvments about performance ?

I tried the 10.7 and have the same issue. I have stable 60 FPS, when the expander moves and multiball starts the framerate drops to 25 FPS and goes back to 60 when all ball are out and the expander stops moving.

Tried the table also on 10.7 on my ryzen 5 3500U notebook. Same issue. Framedrops at expander movings.

I figured out the ball stutter are caused by the sound-effects. If i disable sound-effects in vpx there are no more stutter on expander movings. I use the rear output for effect, but no matter if i use only the front or all.

Someone any ideas to solve this?
