Hey there,

got a little issue with my DMD on some tables.

I got a 3 Screen setup with a LCD DMD.

On some tables the scores are displayed on the Backglass and on the DMD LCD. I would like to keep both enabled as I like how they look on the DMD. (Also I have a real DMD which I might use someday, so it would be sad if there was no display on it)

I attached 2 pictures: With Algar table everything is fine, displaying correct numbers without missing pixels and in correct positions. However the Agent777 table has only correct display on the backglass, the numbers on the dmd are in the wrong place and have some missing pixels.

I know I can disable DMD for those tables, but I wanted to ask if there is a way to get both backglass and DMD show everything properly?

Thanks for your time.

Look for Scutters thread on adding a DMD to non DMD tables
the DMD display is 128 dots wide by 32 dots tall

A non DMD display does not translate to that many times

Display is too tall or too long

Those machines were not ever designed to display info on a DMD

So having them do so in a useable manner will entail some learning and editing on your part

Or have your front end display a topper image in the DMD for LED display tables?

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

Or you could enable the added alphanumerics that are part of freezy so you can drag and drop each segment to where you want it:

Ok, was hoping there might be some easier way. I just started learning the scripting stuff and adding DOF to some older EM tables :D

But if that's the way to go I'll be doing that for those tables I really would love to have it.

Thanks for your  hint with scutters thread, think that might help a lot :)

Would be awesome if it would work that way.

What numbers are ment by hovering over the numbers from the description? Is it like I drag the numbers displayed on the DMD and reposition them?

I already tried configuring custom options for the table in the dmddevice.ini but with those two lines

alphanumeric enabled = true
virtualdmd enabled = false

I was only able to disable the virtual dmd.

And re-reading the article I think that it really only affects the alphanumerics displayed in the backglass.

Which means that even if I'd be able to drag them from the backglass to the dmd they would not be visible in both places.

That will not help him
Those are raster for use on an LCD panel

He wants to display the score duplicated to his pinDMD panel
which does DOTs only

He wont even get the alphanumerics on that display.

It would help for the first step displaying the stuff on my currently built in LCD.

I didn't know that that makes a difference after rendering so I assumed if I got it working on the LCD it would work on the real DMD aswell.

That was my bad.

So in that case I need to differentiate: First of all I'd be happy getting the alphenumerics displayed on the DMD LCD and backglass LCD... so maybe strells hint could help.

Concerning the real DMD I'm still not sure if I'm going to mount it. (Bought it but not sure if I'm going to use it...)

I'll give it a try tomorrow after work.
