File Name: Title Fight (Gottlieb 1990)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 13 Sep 2021

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, Bodydump
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1990
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This fun table is a rebuild of Bodydump's 2014 vp9 release.
It's my first attempt at a conversion. It's no masterpiece but it plays well.
Enjoy :)
1.1 has new script and playfield and a few new bits (Thanks Goldchicco)

Thank you Bigus for this rare table.

I had the VP9-version only, but the captive balls were not working and my skills were/are not enough to fix that. So this wonderful Gottlieb of the 90's is now a full member of my collection. One suggestion ... I changes the kicker cup to "Gottlieb "style. Regardless the script is valued as dog food, it works and the table is real fun! That counts after such a Monday in the office.

Sincerely Christian.

First of all, I want to thank you for this table.
It plays very good.
I really love these types of tables. Good job.

I noticed that this table doesn't have SSF sounds.
The ball ticks to another ball is the only sound that comes through my SSF, but rest of the sounds just coming from my 2 cabinet speakers (even on VPX 10.7 beta).

For the people who wants to have the coin chutes like to operate like I do (left coin 1 credit, right coin 2 credits), I've  attached my nvram with these settings Attached File  tfight.nv   8.04KB   8 downloads

Again, Good job of migrating this table !

Sound isn't my forte, but Goldchicco has kindly sent me Bodydump's and his beta vpx version with all that stuff, so I now have a proper script and a clean playfield and I'll get working mashing the 2 together.

cool Will wait for that.
I also noticed that my plunger is working (when pulling and releasing) , but it didn't kick the ball (although I see that the plunger is moving)
But the button kicks the ball.

Keep up the good work !

Finally a rebuild and not a suspicious mod, you can be proud of yourself! This takes a hope negativity away around you. i'm really happy to see you did this!!! Must be many hours but it is worth it!

Good job, and keep the rebuild/originals coming!

Thanks :)  But I have to say that this table took no more time and effort than most of my other releases.  I already knew the techniques involved and I just needed to learn the process. Less complicated than I thought, which is a bonus. Don't think some people will hate me any less, though (it's a hobby within a hobby). BTW, it's not my first rebuild and also, if you play Godzilla in vpx, you can thank me.

Cheers :)

Thanks for the update (and Goldchicco for providing you the info as well)
Sounds and scripting is good now.
Even my plunger works as expected.

I like this table a lot, thanks.  Feedback: the action of the ball after it leaves the saucer under the mini-playfield needs to be fixed.  It should travel clean into the in-lane.  For me, it hits the pin between the two lanes, rattles around some, and frequently ends up in the out-lane.  Also, I would tone down the flippers a lot, particularly the top right one.  It's way too hard to combo loops because the flipper sends the ball up and around way faster than it's supposed to.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the nice implementation of this table.

I like the animation of the boxers in desktop mode.

I would like to make a b2s and use parts of your table if I get permission to do so.

Any insight into why I would have trouble even opening this table in 10.7 final. It crashes immediately upon loading into VPX?

This seems to be the only one. I tried to re-download in case it was corrupted, which is the only thing I could think of and I had the same results, it crashes VPX immediately.

Any help is appreciated,

Thank You.

This table crashes as many others in the released version of 10.7. The error is already fixed, and it will be in the next revision of 10.7 (if you want the fixed exe you can download it from Github, but since it is beta it may give another problems)

One solution is to run the table from the File Open menu, and not from the list of latest 8 played tables. The problem is some wav files that are in a 32 bit format, and some code didn't liked that.

I am running 10.7 Final (rev 367). I also tried to download fresh, but it crashed upon opening.
