MAME and Arcade1up showing the same issue on the flicking bullet.

Might be the game issue rather than MAME. But make other sets worst.

What exactly am i supposed to be seeing?

I am looking at the video
and trying to compare to mame .035 (on cabs) and mame .226 (on laptop)

but aside from mame .226 having obviously better screen effects than .035 they look the same, i am not sure what i am supposed to be seeing?

The ship bullets look the same as what i can see in your video

I would need time to unpack a galaga arcade board, and swap one of the cabs back to using an arcade board to compare VS that

maybe what ever you are seeing has always been this way in mame?

Here is the screenshots. First one showing the red/blue bullet flickering on the left side down bellow. Second one where the enemies bullets going down backward. I used my video to catch the red/blue bullet flickering.

I think there is a rom that might be bad on the first set. Causing the rest of the sets acting weird. lol

Could be the main set might have some bugs. Who know.

Well, all i can say is, it has been that way since at least 1999 then.

Some time when i dont have a 7 day work week, i will pull out the galaga boards, and hook up the real deal
just to see the difference between the emulation and the real deal.

note sure if this vid shows much very well

If you ever get it out and working. Try to record the Game Over gameplay demo. MAME Dev want to know that issue is there. Just the bottom on the left of the screen. Upload it onto YouTube. Make sure you show the board before move up to the screen. Don't have to be pull out to show it. Just shine a light on it.  :)

That video showing the bullets correct coming down. Pointed down instead of pointed up coming down. That not they looking for. :)

Show the board before moving to the screen?
Id have to show the board in the box, once it goes in the franken cage, your not going to see it terribly well.

Any idea of what part of this someone would specifically want to see?
Otherwise, something like this makes for a fairly boring picture

Nice board there. Picture is good enough.

Just seeing the bullet flickering is there after the two fighters link up. :)

That is not my board, it is a NOS board on ebay
My board looks old and discolored and has lots of visible repairs on it, including some redone traces where cap leakage ate the traces away
and some chips who had some legs snapped off, and so the legs are soldered on, they broke where it narrows to go in the socket, so luckily not flush with the
chip itself.
