Howdy.

While I was working on the Phantom of the Paradise table I also started working on a table for one of my favorite electronic music bands: Yello
Not so sure there are many Yello music fans here so just seeing if there are and who might be interested. The table is built on both 32Assassin's  Williams Defender VPX and Ivantba's Transformer's The Movie Table (for the updated sound and music support)

I reached out to 32assassin (and tried to reach out to Ivantba but his message quota is full) so I don't fully have permission to share yet. The table is pretty complete. There was more interest in the Phantom of the Paradise table than I thought so maybe the same is true of this one (?)

Anyway I had fun building and playing it and can just keep it in my personal collection if I don't get permission to share :P
Cheers!

Don't know the band, but love the style and the table

They'd be best known for making "Oh Yeah" as featured in the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off (actually a lot of their music has been used in John Hughes movies)
Oh Yeah is probably my LEAST favorite song of theirs and not particularly representative of their range.
Boris Blank who handles all the electronics is known as a Pioneer of electronic/techno/dance music. Dieter handles the lyrics and most of the singing.

Ah, one of those groups that I've heard plenty of music from but didn't know it.  Cool, thank you!

Like a good dose of Yello from time to time.

Would be interested in the Sound-FX this table makes...a lot of possibilities :)

Good work from just looking at it. Interested, of course.

Thank you!

takut who designed one of the Defender tables kindly gave permission to MOD. Still waiting to hear from 32assassin and Ivantba if it's okay with them.

Ivantba can be reached by email -  it's available on his Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube....pregiIvan/about

32assassin at the moment left the scene or he is taking a break, full respect for his decision.

He has no problem when one of his table got reskin or really improved - so in your case it should be fine, just give credit to those Authors when you'll release the table

Both Takut and IVANtba gave me the "go ahead" to share Yello so I think that's sufficient.
I'll try to post the table today.

Thanks for the interest and assistance everyone.

I always call Yello's Oh Yeah track "Homer Simpson's Odyssey" You know: D'oh, D'oh (Sorry, I'll just get my coat... :P )

I have the Yello CD called Flag if that's any help.

Oh Yeah is also used in the 1987 film The Secret Of My Success starring Michael J Fox and Helen Slater, produced and directed by Herbert Ross.

Yeah it was used all over the place including a version which turned it into Jingle Bells.

In a sense, It puts them into a category of "one hit wonders" and that aspect bothers me a little. But on the other hand, it gave them financial leverage to pool their energy and resources into making better albums/songs so I won't knock it too much.

It fit the style and tone of the movie sequences it was used - I'll give it that.

I utilized a remixed version of it for this table because it is kind of silly not to include it, but the remix gave the song some new life.

Anyway...
/End rant

Wpilot,

Would it be possible to add The Race (CD version) and 3rd of June 1988 tracks to the media pack? I think they would make great additions to the table's track repertoire.

Just a thought and thanks if you agree.

CP

You can replace any of the songs you wish. Just look closer at the Table info or the media pack it explains how to add your music.
