File Name: Force (LTD do Brasil 1979)

File Submitter: mfuegemann

File Submitted: 13 Apr 2021

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): siggi
wiesshund
mfuegemann
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1979
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

This is Force by LTD do Brasil.

Thanks go to CARLOSGUIZZO for providing images of this rare pin. Siggi and Wmpimentel created the playfield and plastics redraws.
Batch made the new desktop backdrop.
At the top of the script You have the option to adjust the sound volume and GI brightness and activate FreePlay.

The table has no DIP switch menu to adjust the number of balls or other settings.

The ROM can be found at VPUniverse, for instance.

Wiesshund created the 8bit sound files and added alternative Star Wars music and sounds together with the original sound solenoid calls.
Use Const UseAlternativeROMSound to adjust.

Have fun
Michael

That's great news, Michael!
Thank you so much for making this table. :)
And of course, thanks too, Siggi!
Greetings.

The ROM can be found at VPUniverse, for instance. Unfortunately there is no sound emulation possible at the moment.

Since there is no audio emulation, would it be ok to try to do some 1978-ish audio for it?

Thanks for this beautiful table!

Is it me or two of the three digitals leds are inverted on the top right of the table?

the center and the bottom digits on the playfield is not corresponding to vpinmame digits order.

Hi,

The sounds are not made by the ROM, but by a separate board instead.

https://youtu.be/N1CETxR0aDE

The sounds are like these ones.

Greetings

so i kind cobbled together this

"Yeah I just made a believable suite of sounds emulating a 1970's pinball table with a dedicated soundboard, and then coded all of the sounds to the appropriate triggers in about 6 hours. No big deal."
Sounds great man, you could have told me those were the original and I wouldn't have given it a second thought

I think its pretty sweet too, really cool addition :D really spices it up, hopefully it can get added at some point.

Nick the Lounge Singer did a pretty good 70s Star Wars theme:

Hi Mrtr32,
I had to switch the position of the two displays (together with the corresponding target and lamp and top b/c rollover) to get them into a proper attract mode order, given by the lights cycle.

Heyas! I had downloaded the original Force table you had here (the one without sound) and it worked well.

I've just downloaded the updated table (with the sound and music), but now I can't start the game. Inserting coins gives me a "Mario coin box hit" sound and pressing the start button gives me a prolonged laser blaster sound. Has something changed to start the game?

Hi Punktiger,

maybe the default "FreePlay" option changed to "False". You can set it at the top of the script to "True" (line 39). Then every time, You press the start button the coin chute switch will be activated too.

On the other hand, You could try to insert money with the "5" key.
