agree with all.
thank you to Assassin for the table and to Bigus for the mod.
I don't believe Bigus tried anything deceptive, he is always straight forward saying whom this table comes from.
I think guys should stop being overly sensitive about this: this is a hobby, they decide to offer their great work and we thank them for, but there is no money involved so why react like this as if it was a steal of property?
I don't understand the seriouness of the accusations sometimes.
I think I can speak for all of us in this hobby in that we are all more than grateful for the incredible time that you must be putting doing this and we applaud and thank you for it.
now once the creator has decided to put his work online for us all to enjoy, why start refusing others who want to mod it?
a mystery to me.
What's not to understand? If a table author does not want someone modding their table, and they specify so on the original table file, then do not mod the table... period.
It doesn't matter if someone is trying to "improve" their table. That's not the point. They violated the wishes and the boundaries of the author. The least they could have done was contact the author for permission before modding it. If they say no, then leave it at that. Don't mod the table.
And if a table author says don't mod unless you (insert condition, such as make significant changes), that is not automatic permission to mod. That means you should send your mod to the author for review and approval before publishing it.
Shame on Noah for not looking into this and enforcing the rules so that table authors are not de-motivated to participate in the community. Heck, this even de-motivated me from sharing a new table I'm working on when it's finished... at least in the VPF community. If I know VPF is not going to enforce rules on table mods, then what's the point?
