The newest version includes most of the released VR-tables as preview-tables.
If you want me to add new tables simple leave a comment here

I really really love this. It adds a real nice level of polish it feels to the VR experience. Seriously reduces the futzing around while blind.

I used to use it basically exclusively because its so nice. However I began to notice many tables not showing up. Then I saw that it was something that you (@basbi) had to constantly update for "new" tables to show up.. while I admire your devotion but that kind of sucks for you lol and I use many regular or FSS tables and would like to be able to choose them form inside your VR front end but they dont show up, even with a NO ARTWORK cab like some others do.. its sort of hit or miss some non VR tables will show up even with artwork so I cant make heads or tails of it..

So is there anyway you could you maybe please add an option to show ALL tables in our tables folder even if they dont have art work? That way I could get me some munsters and swords of fun without leaving the launcher...

And also is there a way for us (the users) to help out? Maybe a way to "include" the artwork in the vpx file so the launcher can grab it from the .vpx file?

I dont know but anything would be cool just so you dont gotta like update the launcher for every table and what not..

but thanks for doing it because it works great and it sure is sweet lol :) just trying to think of a way to make it easier for you.

I'm just going to set this here and go get a cup of coffee.. DONT TOUCH ANYTHING!! :pardon:  NOT MY LINKS BUT ENJOY

That would be a great thing. I have more than 1500 tables in my folder and hundreds of them can't be seen. I don't want the artwork. If a blank table is shown, that would be nice.

Hey Rajo,

you can look at the table array in the script. It's easy to understand and described in the script. If you have put your 1350 missing tables inside, you can send me the tablearray so that others can enjoy them too. Thank you! ;)

Hey Karlor,

you are right, the thing with to need of editing by me sucks. But there is no other way to include graphics in vpx. So we have to go this way. But all vr-rooms since now are included. That's great!

If people send me table-artwork in the right format (there is a template for photoshop and a transparent png) i will include the tables.

@basbi How do you recommend handling multiple versions of a table?

In some cases I have two versions of a table (CFTBL-drive in, CFTBL-minimal, Flinstones-bedrock, Flinstones-minimal), but vr-launcher must only grab the first one it sees.

Is there a way for it add multiple tables of the same name (file names are different of course) and have them show up? What if I added another CFTBL line to the array? (just thinking off the cuff)

Thanks!!

You can diable "filter clones". Then any version of a table will be shown. (The shown filename can be helpfull for your selection.)

I don't recommend editing the table array - it will be overwritten with next update.

Thanks basbi this will be great! I’ll give it a try...

I really didn’t want to get into messing with the script!  You update it quite a bit!! Thank you for that too

Does anyone know what setting you use to get a joystick to move left/right between tables using the dpad, or whether it can be controlled using the Oculus Touch controllers?
Here's where I got so far:-

        <nextkey>?</nextkey>
        <previouskey>?</previouskey>
        <selectkey>joystick 1 button 0</selectkey>
        <jumpnextkey>?</jumpnextkey>
        <jumppreviouskey>?</jumppreviouskey>
        <exitkey>joystick 1 button 7</exitkey>
        <infokey></infokey>
        <filterkey></filterkey>
        <recenterkey>joystick 1 button 8</recenterkey>

I do not think VPX can see the DPAD input, and your front end may possibly be the same way?

If you use Antimicro, you can set the DPAD to send keyboard keys instead.

It works a lot better than joy2key

Have a look at this to map the VR controllers to keyboard keys: Using VR controllers with VPX - Visual Pinball VR Discussion - VPForums.org
