File Name: The Addams Family (Bally 1992)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 19 Feb 2021

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, Sliderpoint
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1992
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This beautiful table from Sliderpoint is great fun and a laugh.
I've converted it from a raised playfield to a standard one because reflections don't work
on non-standard playfields, so it's a full rebuild plus a makeover and updates.
3.0 is updated for 10.8 with new lighting and physics and more accurate Thing Flips.
Enjoy :)

So you decided to put out a weak MOD thinking its better than this? 😅

https://vpinball.com...rpoint-3rdaxis/

Why do you MOD older tables instead of attempting to MOD current versions? Like this is the BEST version of TAF thats even worth it.

Why do you bother posting here?

Perhaps take your hateful little self down the road someplace else.

Why anyone choses to mod anything is none of your business, and your opinion means less than zero.

Grow up and stop acting like a little girl huh?

My little girl doesn't act like this.  Hate is learned.  Leave ol' Bigus alone.  I've worked on some projects with him and he's a great dude. Everyone has different tangents of enjoyment.  He likes to futz around and polish.  Can't polish something that's polished.

Thats my point. His ego is so desperate to have another table with his Mod title attached to it that he seeks out older tables that have already been tuned up. I could do the same in fact better as my assets i use to tweak the lighting sounds and environments on my personal tables are much better than his.

I don't think his ego is the only ego involved here. ;)

Please don't attack other members. If you see something you don't like, but others do, let them enjoy it. We're here to ENJOY pinball, not be attacked for supporting it.

Thank you.

I chose the older table as a base because it's more true-to-life. I consider the other TAF to be an art table like the Who Dunnit mod and not a true representation - the cool animated Fester kind of gives it away. I like it and it's in my collection and I have no desire to change it. I'm lucky to have access to a real TAF and I can assure you that it is in no way gloomy, so I wanted to have a bright sparkly version that more closely matches the real tables' lighting. I've tried to make sure the features are up-to-date. As for my tag, well, that was created for me (right down to which brackets to use) after I initially tried to upload tables anonymously. I'm not ego-tripping or trying to compete with anyone. A lot of the mods that I do are requests - and I get plenty of requests. 24 was a recent request and another one is coming. And I keep hearing how every bastard and his dog can do a better job because it's so easy, but they don't want to burden us with too many tables or some bullshit. Pfft. I have invested thousands of hours into learning this software and there's still plenty to learn yet. I'm unafraid to present my work for scrutiny and I try to keep improving, despite the attacks. So, if you want to exclaim "never on my cab" to earn brownie points from your mates, it's no skin off my nose. Just have the decency not to spruik other peoples' tables on my support pages. It's lame and only reflects upon your own character.

Anyway, Thankyou to those of you that offer support - it is appreciated - and I'll keep on trying to improve and offer games for you to enjoy. Cheers :)

In fact I think almost every mod Bigus has done has replaced the version that had been in my cab. He’s one of my VP heroes!

I agree with the above persons, it is always nice to see what you can do to improve tables that sometimes are already very good looking :)

I agree too, and for me this is a very nice version, and I like physics settings

I did this backdrop for desktop users (it's one of the 16/9 backdrops I did)

Thanks Bigus for all of your mods....they reside proudly side by side all the other versions of the same tables in my cabinet. For the most part I always considered them to be improvements in existing releases and find myself playing them over the other released versions. Thank you!
