RULES of Future Pinball table Mods
This apply to anyone who want to start learning by moding tables in FP
- you should have permission at any time to mod a table. the original author disappear? you cannot reach him? YOU DON'T MOD the table(period).
- if you use copyrighted image or music or sound effect into a table, Give credits to anyone you can...it is good for the soul...

Couple of suggestion for cheap ressources:
1.Jamendo and CCMIXER are good to start for music. Look for the Creative Commons label
2.I personnally go to ENVATO market place , which ended up to be a great CHEAP starting point for vector design.
3.www.dreamstime.com is very cheap for High quality images and illustration as well.

Knowing that, I wish you happy moding!

Steve

anyone can mod any of my tables.
especially if they are doing so to learn to use fp.
Also any resources used in my tables are free to be used by anyone

- Do not use copyrighted image or music or sound effect into a table. there is plenty of these out there. Give credits to anyone you can...it is good for the soul...

Is this a hard rule? Meaning if you truly must use copyrighted music for an original Superman table, will the table be deleted? or is it more of a preference, as in please, but ok if you must? As for images, most images are property of the original owner/photographer, and then there are other image considerations that come into play after that.

Listen,

I wouldn't do a Harry Potter table because i know that the table will not last very long even if it is FAN made. Specificaly some studios or copyright holder doesn't like their images played with. On the other hand, some like LucasArt (that I know of) or the Start Trek ones tend to be encouraging the FAN MAde stuff because they are good publicity. This is personnal to everyone.

I am not here to judge or be the bad police Officer flagging my value at anyone. I'm just consulting about the facts I know.
this being said, if you are to use some copyrighted stuff, be ok about it, specify clearly somewhere that this is either FAN ART or MADE UNDER THE PARODY ACT or NON PROFIT - FOR PERSONNAL DISTRIBUTION ONLY.

I think most of us operate under a "don't ask, don't tell" policy, but would obviously remove offending tables if the copyright holders of images, sounds or music, etc, actually asked us to remove them. I'm not adding any disclaimers to any of my tables.

I think it's the best solution.

To avoid any confusion this topic may cause, unauthorized MODs are tables that one or more authors create and offer to the community that is later modified without permission by another.

We will not entertain unauthorized MODs in any way, shape, or form.

As far as copyrighted themes for originals...

Original tables with those themes would do nothing but promote their product with no profit being made. Therefore, they are perfectly acceptable, unless the owner of that copyright has issue with it.

The Board Guidelines apply to the entire board, the FP section notwithstanding.

I was going through my collection of half-finished FP creations on my computer and I came across something that might actually make for a fun game to play. I started this pitch-and-bat style table a few months ago but quickly came to the conclusion that I would not be able to script it from scratch like I was planning to. So, it just got set on the back-burners and was eventually abandoned for a while. I feel that there is some potential in what I have completed so far. Here is a picture of the current state of the table:

I am sure that this could be a small and fun project for you Simplyus (or anyone else who is interested) and I would love to continue to help in any way I can if someone were to pick-up where I left off. My only request is that the pitching system and the flippers remain the same because they set the table apart from other pitch-and-bat games and gives it a more original feel. Other than that, the rest can be changed, but if you are going to mod/finish the table please send me a message so that I can help too. Thanks in advance for any consideration taken in this project. I have attached the .fpt file for the table.

Anyone wish to attempt to take on vikings? I can supply an ISO of the PS1 game if they do, it runs well on PS1 emulator.
