Anybody have any luck adding Zaccaria Pinball (through Steam) to PinballY?

 

There are instructions for PinballX (https://www.gameex.i...launch-for-pbx/) and Popper (https://www.nailbust...=setup_zaccaria) but I'm not having any luck retooling them to work in PBY.

 

The issue seems to be that Zaccaria needs some table types that PBY won't accommodate. Specifically, Zaccaria defines the following table types:

 

EM
SS
RT
RM
AW

 

Has anyone gotten this to work? And/or do you know of a way to expand PBY's allowed table types?

Update: I took a quick dip into the GameEx PBX solution and the error message I'm getting appears to be generated by the AHK script. It says "Invalid Table type:  Valid types are SS,EM,RT,RM,AW,DX" which means that the table type isn't getting read from the Zaccaria database xml file.

Progress... I didn't have the right parameters in the launch settings. I'll post a screenshot of what worked (mostly) shortly.

As you can see in the video, the AHK solution for PBX is launching Zaccaria and highlighting the selected table. I can't decide if I'm ok with this or if I want it to also select the table and press play. If so, that'll involve modifying the AHK script.

Ok, as promised here are the settings I used to get Zaccaria working in PinballY.

 

Note that you need to follow a few steps first as outlined in the first post of this thread: https://www.gameex.i...launch-for-pbx/

 

That includes:

• Download the two files (LaunchZaccaria.ahk and Zaccaria.xml)


• Download and install AutoHotKeys (this is a super easy and minimal install, takes like two clicks)


• Put Zaccaria.xml in your PBY database folder. For me, that's C:\PinballY-64bit-20200422\Databases\Zaccaria


• Edit line 17 of LaunchZaccaria.ahk as described in the post (use a text editor like Notepad)


• Right click LaunchZaccaria.ahk and select "compile" This will create a .exe file called LaunchZaccaria.exe


• Put LaunchZaccaria.exe in the scripts folder in your PinballY folder

 

This gets you as far as you see in the video above. When you select a table Zaccaria should launch and that table will be selected. From there you just press "Enter" twice to play the table.

Thank you for this. I almost have it working.... When I go to launch a table I get an error. Any ideas what I'm missing?

Change in line 17, the location to your zacaria.xml database file
Use the full path including the extension :
FileRead, xmldata, C:\Pinball\PinballX\Databases\Zaccaria\Zaccaria.xml ;change to your zaccaria PBX database

I asked my grandkids and they understand it ( 3 and 5 years old)

I got that part all sorted. Issue now is when I launch a table I get this error "LaunchZaccaria.exe............... Invalid Table type; Valid types are SS,EM,RT,RM,AW,DX"

 

**EDIT** I got it figured out.... I fat fingered line 17 location.... What a noob..... Hahaha

Hi,

i have Zaccaria Pinball collection (100 tables) and work perfectly on my PC.

Files are :

ZaccariaPinball.exe

steam_api.dll

openvr_api.dll

autorun

and one folder called Content that contains 223 elements (files .ask)

 

I think this files .ask are parts of games.

 

How to do now to start a single table directly without pass for menu ?

I would set all this for LaunchBox and BigBox.
