File Name: Aces High (Bally 1965) v1.1.0 - 4K - Dakarx

File Submitter: dakarx

File Submitted: 25 May 2020

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Dakarx
-=Kees=-
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1965
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

One of my first table mods as I learn my way through this, playfield has been fully recreated from scratch in 4K resolution (previously fuzzy very low res)
Both English and the German (original) PF's are included.

to-do;

I've located a better backglass image (in English) if I can figure out how to update the b2s (or someone wants to do it)

I'm still hunting an original table to get better images of the plastics (and because I want one!)

Thanks to -=Kees=- for the original (and permission to mod his work)

I think that was the image I found for the backglass..  I was hoping it would be as simple as swapping out the image, but b2sdesigner complains about the reel images and other things, a deep hole I just haven't had time to learn my way out of yet.  Thinking it's substantially more involved, but if you are willing to help......I'll listen/learn!

Hi dakarx,

thank you for the work you spent on this nice table. In the passed lockdown weeks I worked with the BG Designer and have gotten a better understanding. If you publish the BG pic you have as resource, I would like to give that a try from my side.

Thank you, Christian.

Christian, there is 1 better Image on VPU ... if you have a chance later, when Page is back "online" ...

Just a Tipp: start with a new Poject, use basic Reels and dont import anything others (bad for later Edit), BG resize to max. 1920 if it is bigger, Brightness down to -50%, Lights Level 1 or max. 2,

avoid too much (e.g. not more than 10 for that Type of EM) Light Frames ... and you will get a fine Result.

Christian, I sent you a link via PM to a copy of that image I'd downloaded when VPU was actually working intermittently.  Give it a shot if you like, i just down't have the time right now to play as 'work' is gearing up at the office, which means sooner rather than later my commute will be more than a flight of stairs again.
