akiles50000
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1982
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Based on the 1982 table by LTD do Brasil.

Thanks to:
- Carlos for the source images and videos
- mfuegemann for the vpinmame script and finding all those light, switch and solenoid numbers and the extra script for the backdrop and tube lights.
- to Jean Carlo de Araújo (Nasa) for all the tutorial videos he took of his table.
- and to STAT for his directb2s

This table is similar to Xenon, but the graphics & sounds are different. Game play may be different too, check the rules at the table info.

I recommend to update to the latest vpinmame beta, as it includes many fixes.

I thought I had the table in the past and therefore the rom. But that was Zarza. I don't know how I could mix it up.

Is there a way to modify the coin chutes ? it now gives a credit to "Add credit2" instead of "Add credit" in VPX

A shame it doesn't have the voice to it, but still a great looking table. :D

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

Sorry for the silly question, but how do I get this LTD table working with traditional 5 key for COIN and 1 key for 1 Player?

You need an updated LTD3.vbs.

Go to this thread, download the beta 10.7, and extract all the scripts to your scripts folder, overwrite all them.

Zephy? I'm confused, wasn't there Zarza, too? Why did Taito of Brazil make the same export game twice?

Taito and LTD are two different companies :) So Zarza is Taito's version and Zephy is LTD's version :)

Wow this is really nice JP. Lots of fun to play. I noticed STEREO SOUND right away when I loaded it on my dev machine which has speakers far apart. It sounds great! Really great physics too.

You are the master my friend, thanks for another gem for my cab.

Fast flips not working for me? If I change to UseSolenoids=2, it gives an error.

It's not like you can expect UseSolenoids=2 to be working for all manufacturers. This is what nFozzy said about it a while ago.

Game compatibility:

This is designed primarily for pre-solid state flipper games.

Data East, Williams Fliptronics and WPC-Security games are compatible, (Addams Family through Jack*Bot) but any rom controlled flipper effects won't work. More info can be found in wpc.vbs.

These games are NOT compatible:

Old games: Zaccaria, LTD

New stuff: Sega Whitestar, (Apollo 13 / Goldeneye onward) WPC95, (Congo/AFM onward) and Capcom, Modern Stern.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

UPDATE

1.0.1 Updated 22.03.2020
- Added "FastFlips" :)

The code was made by mfuegemann, I simply ignored it, not realizing why it was there when I made the table. Very clever mfuegemann! :) (It is the same code as in Cowboy Eight Ball)
