File Name: Aces & Kings

File Submitter: Albert

File Submitted: 09 Mar 2020

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Kees
Albert
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1970
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is an overhaul of Kees‘ „Aces & Kings“ (Williams, 1970)

Changes:

Changed the appearance of the spinning disc, notably the spinning posts.

Changed the minimal speed of the spinning disc. The disc stops now earlier. This was done to avoid to a certain extent the visible choppy animation on lower speeds.

Saucers now with animated kick arms.

Changed the kick angles of the saucers.

Added a countdown for the bonus lights after ball drain.

Added two missing playfield inscriptions.

Lowered the elements in the upper area of the playfield (rebound rubber, shooter lane gate, and guide walls).

The shooter lane gate has a new primitive cover.

New GI for for some ball reflections.

Ball size increased by 1 unit.

Added sound effects.

There is also a sub (Sub licht_Timer) for four blinking lamps in your backglass. If you want to use this, you have to modify your backglass.

Thanks to Kees for making all this possible in the first place. (To paraphrase John Lennon: „Without him, there would be nothing.“)

Where's the b2s file? Getting that blasted 'Controller' error when trying to play the table.

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Thanks Albert ( & Kees ), do you have any Recommendation where i should place the Lights ( ID "91 - 94" ) from your Timer ?
I did a quick Test with the 4 middle Lights, works well - only if you also set: licht.enabled = 1 'of course

I don't even know if those blink lamps were a standard on every factory-fresh game. At least on this backglass they were placed where i placed them on the virtual counterpart:
