[SOLVED] Hi, I hope someone can help me out! Running VPX 6.0 beta (install-all-in-one), Windows 10, 2 displays (32 Playfield in cab mode) and 32 in portrait mode for backglass and DMD.

In Windows Display Settings my PF display is to the left of my BG display and aligned at the top.

My Display 2 resolution is 1360x768 (recommended by Windows) and at 150% (also recommended). Had Addams Family & AC/DC backglass looking perfect - even dragged the DMD from the playfield into the grill portion and got that nightmare working (learned how to delete rom with REGEDIT) due to disappearing DMD). But then AC/DC backglass was too small but TAF was perfect. Tried other backglasses and they were all too small and shifted, but TAF was perfect. Discovered that my display 2 resolution was supposed to be at 150% (for font, apps etc) but it was changed to 100%. Changed it back to 100% and now ALL backglasses are perfect except TAF which is too large now. Ive tried everything - even deleting and reinstalling the rom, VPX file etc and even installed a different TAF backglass and its still too large. Normally it wouldnt matter but Im doing this BECAUSE my wifes only favourite pinball is TAF and it looked so great and wanted to show her.

Any possible clues? Im sure its a script issue but I have no idea where to begin fixing that. Thanks!!

Okay, for anyone who runs into this issue....I can't believe I'm the only one but have been searching for an answer.

I think I resolved the sonuvabitch! It was Windows 10's predilection for deciding automatically (and arbitrarily) what the scaling should be.

  • Display 1 (playfield in cabinet mode/portrait like a table) is now set to 1920x1080 (via HDMI) and at 100% scaling. It was originally set to the same resolution but 150% scaling.
  • Display 2 (backglass and DMD in portrait mode) is now ALSO set to 1920x1080 (via DVI-D to HDMI adapter) at 100% scaling. Windows 10 was causing the scaling to jump all over the place.
  • In B2S my set up is:

Playfield Width: 1920

Playfield Height 1080

Backglass Display: Display 2

Backglass Width: 1080

Backglass Height: 1000 (to look almost square)

Backglass x Pos: 0

Backglass y Pos: 920 (so the bottom of the glass reaches the bottom of the monitor) I've made a pinball background to take up the rest of the screen up top.

I dIdn't mess with LED Display.

I will experiement with both screens at 125 to 150% as my eyes are really bad and can't see at that resolution. As well, getting a 4K later today and I'll need a microscope attached to some binoculars to see the screen. Might as well try reading microfiche at that resolution.

But at least it's working for now....

I have my playfield monitor set at 125% and the back glass monitor said at 100%
