JP,
VPX feels like a whole new experience with these physics. I love them! The flippers feel fast and smooth. I especially love that they have plenty of power at the tips. Flick passes have never felt better. From cradle, you can generate enough momentum with micro flips to get the ball rocking enough to set yourself up for a backhand. When the ball is rolling down the inlane, you can even flick the ball back toward the inlane / sling to capture it for a cradle from same flipper. Not sure if I described that well, but I see it done all the time on real machines, but kinda rarely in VPX.
Wrd1972 I think was one of the first to point out that there's often not enough side to side or "east / west" ball movement in VPX. I think we've made tons of improvement over the last couple of years, but this table really sends the ball careening around in every conceivable direction. The layout is made for that, but these physics really give you a "ball is wild" ride! Love it.
The redrawing work you've done here (and on countless others) is beautiful!
Wildman has a backglass for y'all if you're looking for one. VPUniverse...
Thanks to Carlos Guizzo for his suggestion. I'd never even heard of this classic table! Haven't looked it up yet, but seems to share some DNA with Time Fantasy era?
I probably shouldn't say it, but I can't resist: Would love to see your new arcade physics ported to some of your other classics if you feel inspired to do so at some point!
