File Name: Supersonic (Bally 1979)

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 02 Jun 2019

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1979
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Based on the Bally table from 1979.

The images used were from the FP table by Martin Brunker. They have been enlarged, sharpened and adapted to my way of making tables fro VPX.

Thanks to Darquayle for sending me nice pictures and scans of the plastics, which I used in this latest version 3.0 of the table.

The rulescard are from inkochnito, as it is the dip switch settings routine. Press F6 during the game to adjust your preferences.

The Rom used is the original 6 digits score rom.

Note: version 3.0.0 is for VPX 10.7 only due to the physics.

Looking at the release date for this table, breaking point going into the 80' I'm excited. So many great machines in this era, crossing my fingers for that this is another, never played before, but super fun machine.

Thanks to Martin Brunker and you once again Juan !

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Thanks for another good looking & fun playing table.

I always like your lighting because it makes the colors really "pop".

hahaha :) I guess I miss when I was in my 20's :D

I changed the date in the download page (there is no new table, just a change in the date :) )

Yes, I like the tables with good lightning :) After spending a lot of time working on the graphics, then I want to see them while playing :) But in VPX is very easy to adjust so it is darker :)

Easy enough to change with the backglass designer.

Very good work.

No electronic sounds with VPX 10.6.3696 and VpinMAME 3.1. Any idea?

Really recommend you update your pinmame to beta 3.2. It has improved WPC sound done by devs/mjr. It means, the release the version of VPM that Carny releases on the site that doesn't exists in the universe.

UPDATE

3.0.0 Updated 05.04.2021
- Added new plastics images thanks to Darquayle who sent me nice pictures and scans of the real table.
- added my arcade physics 3.0.1 for VPX 10.7

This update is mostly to add the new plastics to the table, and at the same time I updated the table with the 3.0.1 physics for VPX 10.7
