File Name: Half-Life (TBA 2019)

File Submitter: ivantba

File Submitted: 30 Apr 2019

File Category: VPX Originals

Author(s): ivantba
Javier
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

The first part of Half-Life at that time reformed the genre of FPS games (1998). The story-oriented stages quickly captured the sci-fi action hungry players.
Its popularity is not proven more than the countless MODs that have been made since the base game.
The second part was released in 2004, which even impressed the critics. So much so that, to some, this game is still the top benchmark in the FPS history.
There was a lot of awards for the game. In fact, even the game of the year was based on the votes.

There have been a lot of theories about the third part, but the publisher hasn't made it yet, despite the high expectations.
So, the pleasant and unforgettable memories of the game have prompted me to make a pinball version of it.

Video of the gameplay:
https://youtu.be/mPkkes7AhY8

So, a complete multimedia package is included with the compressed file. Among others, the backglass (directb2s) file. PinballX desktop and cabinet files (audio, pictures, flyers, instruction cards, wheel, etc.)

Original (my resource) table: Dragon Ball Z The Pinball 1.06

Here I would like to thank Javier for using this great table.

Hello qcol! THX for the feedback! My DMD is correct for me (the score display on the BG appears). Are you using the latest backglass server? "B2S Backglass Server 1.3.0.3"?

Yes, the latest B2S server... in place of DMD is simply a black belt (DMD works OK in other >100 tables)  Besides, the ball has just locked on the ramp right after the launch:

Although I am playing in desktop mode, but I tried in cabinet mode and the dmd appears on my directb2s file too. If you open the directb2s file with the backglass designer program, you can change the backglass settings in the "file"-"setting" menu, "B2S location settings" or it may help. Later, a script modification may appear that solves the problem of ball sticking. It happened rarely for me, but then the nudge solved it :)

Hello! From line 287 I conclude that the script file (FPVPX.vbs) is incorrect or not available. From here you can download: (Copy it into the Visual Pinball\Scripts directory). You can also download it as an option to download the Dragon Ball Z board.

The easiest thing to do is to navigate to the Dragon Ball Z board and select the "FPVPX.vbs" file for download.

Look for the Dragon Ball Z table (either with the search tab or between the vpx tables) and you can download it separately. The link works after login.

Thanks for the tip Kiwi! Good to have you mentioned! Really the latest file (FPVPX.vbs) is in the script directory!

Windows defender is most likely blocking VPX from executing the scripts

edit the following to reflect your paths and paste into an admin powershell window
and if you dont use future pinball, just leave those lines out

Add-MpPreference -ExclusionPath "c:\emulation\VPX\Scripts\*.vbs"
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionProcess "c:\emulation\VPX\VPinballX.exe"
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionPath "c:\emulation\VPX\Tables\*.vbs"
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionProcess "c:\emulation\FP\Future Pinball.exe"
Add-MpPreference -ExclusionPath "c:\emulation\FP\Scripts\*.vbs"

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow
