Just an FYI that I've released PinUP Popper v1.4 Front-End:    Some of the new things added were:

 

• Google Voice interface: Now you can control your cabinet via voice commands, from finding a table, or setting the volume!
• Fully customizable GUI Text Layout Themes: TerryRed and Tarcisio have done their magic to give you great new themes for T-Arc and T-Bar layouts.
• Transparent and Seamless transition loading videos… you have to see it to believe it
• Alt-Run-Modes: now with ability to use the same wheel you can launch a table in many different ways. Like one FX3 table in your DB can be launched in “fantasy” or “classic” mode, even choose HotSeat modes just with one Wheel.
• PlayOnlyMode (lockdown mode): simple mode that locks down your cab menu so if you're having a party and don't want players messing with any of your Popper settings!
• Mini-Games: Stay tuned… PinUP Player now has support for mini-games from VPX tables so original games can add that extra 'fun' into their games.

I finally jumped into PinUp Popper starting with v1.4, and it is really marvellous

Hi,  I'm in the process of reinstalling all my virtual pinball and I'll give a try to Pinup Popper as a front-end.  I would like to know if there's a way to launch a randomly selected table ?

I am just starting to put together my cabinet and got the basic connections for PinballX all set up, but from the videos I've seen I'm going to switch gears over to PinUp Popper.  The added flexibility and end result appear to be BEYOND amazing.  Looking forward to learning it.  Thanks for the work you put into it.

Hi, I'm pulling my hair out b/c I cannot get fx3 to come up in the popper menu. it's enabled under emulators and I have the correct game path etc set per the instructions. I have tried with and without the activesql box checked in the playlist settings but nothing works. I can swear that it came up early on when I first started loading it but in all the fiddling around, it's gone now and I cannot figure it out. FX3 works fine on it's own but will not show up in the menu. Can someone please help before I jump off a ledge? lol

Yep. It's really killing me why fx3 is not showing. I feel like I did everything right but obviously not.

look at my pic and look at yours you changed the media name to justadd so unless you made a media folder called justadd and put everything in it it won't find the images

Oh how dumb. lol. OK so I have it back on the menu but when I hit my select button, it brings up the wheel for my FP tables.  huh????? and my other question is, should the activesql option be checked for FX3 or unchecked? If I leave it checked then it dn let me add the two games I have activated.

No and the looks of it you have your playlist all messed up.. maybe remove them and add them back you should not have other games showing with FX3.. i will take a pic from my cab. and send you my launch codes

OK, so I found that the two fx3 tables were showing separately on the main wheel but the fp tables show up under fx3. gonna re-do the play list. also, it did launch the game but I could not control it at all other than clicking with the mouse. none of my buttons work when I launch an fx3 table with popper.

you can use this launch just leave out the line about pupdmd if you don't have it setup.

what controls are you using?

OK, so I re-did my fx3 playlist and it seems to be working good now. I was even able to do the normal controls in citadel/sourcer's lair and then use by exit emulator button to got back to the menu. yay! The only other thing I did just now was I added steam.exe to my startup folder. not sure if that did anything but I'll take it. lol. I think I'm trucking along now. 

 

Question for you though. Is there anyway to import the media from the CSV for all tables at once in the games list or do we have to do them one by one?

not sure what csv is but if the names are right and you put them in the correct folders should work. but i like to record my own or use the media manager to download high res videos sounds and launch videos

I spoke too soon. now when I load fish tales and sourcer's lair, I'm back to not having control of the pinball functions. Hmm. it worked a little bit ago. what might be hijacking the controls?

hmm, question. this wiki page says to set your steam client to run in startup but I don't think I understand correctly. can you please tell me how that should be done? Not sure what they mean by steam client? do they mean the fx3.exe or steam.exe? I added steam.exe to startup folder but all that does is open steam when windows starts. I'm clearly not following this and guessing this is why I'm having issues controlling it when losing from popper.
