Remember coming home after school, or sitting in front of the TV on Saturday morning with your favorite bowl of cereal,
and watching this classic? It's been almost 80 years since this hilarious cat and mouse duo debuted, and they've finally
made their way to VPX! Now, you can "play" the cartoon and re-live all of those fond memories right at your fingertips!
Tom & Jerry have literally invaded your pinball table and that's just the beginning. You'll help Jerry collect all of his cheese,
challenge Tom to a Pin"brawl", and encounter many other zany surprises! There's no stopping these two in this fun and
exciting adventure!

UPDATE: Tom & Jerry is now DOF compatible and the official ROM is included in this version.
 
Don't forget to use the provided background and multi-ball music files that go in to your VPX music folder.

Great Table!!!!  Love the theme love the game so far like the rule set ... one and only thing so far I dislike is the no ball save especially in multi ball.

You may have used another game to make it with but it's like playing a whole different game because you change the layout

This table is really a masterpiece! Visually very impressive, nice toys and clever shots!

 

Unfortunately some objects are not placed very exact and causing some problems. Especially the main ramp - there are several objects in it's way: first the primitive is collidable causing massive slowdowns, shouldn't be as there is a VPX ramp. second the ramp is touching the plastics (which are collidable) near the entrance, causing blocking the ball sometimes (set a higher offset before that point on the ramp prevents that), third there is a small ramp at the left side of the entrance which is made collidable but also blocks the ball because of it's height. I moved this wall more to the left. The ramp pieces are not put together very exact and can cause the ball to fall out of the ramp. And the flippers are not at the same height at the left and right side.

Table looks beautiful, but when I load the table I get error on the rom. Prom1 cpu 8192 8192 0xA0493E27A 0x45164B17 bad checksum.

Hello everyone and thank you for the kind words. UPDATE on Tom & Jerry: Toxie has uploaded a new 3.2 beta build on vpforums and it includes the rom tweak for Tom & Jerry. Just update the build and change the provided rom with the table download to "tomjerry". This should resolve any conflicts or errors with other roms. @ClarkKent Thank you for the input. Will tweak and update. Will also update the DOF bumpers as well.

I'll echo what everyone else is saying in that this table is awesome.  More fun than some real tables of the last 20 years.  Great characters, toys, shots, sound effects, and music.  Not perfect as others have pointed out already but for a first release is just impressive!  Could have easily been a Williams table.  I was a huge Tom and Jerry fan growing up so I smile a lot while playing the table.  One more thing that I don't think was said yet is that the physical walls of Ramp4 extend up in to the ramp causing the ball to get blocked sometimes.  Lowering them to about 35 fixed the issue.  I don't know if that causes any issue with Ramp4.  Thanks Again!!

I changed the rom name and changed the line 4 script, but no luck. Now I get. Script error. Line:43 game name not found.

Can't seem to get this working with the adjusted ROM.

 

I went to Toxie's thread here https://www.vpforums...c=27063&page=35 Downloaded the zip, extracted and replaced all the files in my VPinMAME folder. Clicked setup.exe and ran install. Opened up the Tom & Jerry Table in VPX and changed line 4 to "tomjerry", and then renamed the "hlywoodh.zip" to "tomjerry.zip". I still am getting the line 43 error game not found.

 

I'm not sure if this has something to do with it, but if I run PinMAME32.exe I can see the new line added for Tom & Jerry under Hollywood heat referencing tomjerry. But if I open Setup.exe and run test, I don't see the tomjerry rom listed there under Hollywood Heat or anywhere else.

 

Any ideas?

you did not do a proper installation

 

if you can't find the Tom and Jerry in the rom list you will not be able to load the table

and FYI,  the official PINAME DLL does not include hacked roms.  and by hacked roms I mean    SAM colored roms.

 

if you are using colored roms,  you should wait until a new dll that contains hacked roms AND the T&J  rom is released.
