Hello all,
I have a 3 year old VirtuaPin cabinet that I absolutely love.....having said that Id like to add a Topper monitor for that special polished look. My problem is I have no idea how to go about this....I get the fact that I buy the monitor and then what....it gets plugged into where? How do I set up the monitor to get the correct video? Its stuff like that I need help with.Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains how to go about this step by step. Im sure I can handle this if I can get some instruction of some sort. Im using PBX for my front end.
Thanks for any and all help.

You plug the Topper monitor into your existing computer and also plug it into the wall

You enable and specify the Topper monitor size and location in PinballX using Settings.exe.  Same as what you did with your Backglass and DMD monitors,

Correct videos or images?  You download and rename them like you do with wheel logos and backglasses. The only difference is you put them in then the PinballX Topper Image or Videos folder.

You can experiment now by displaying the topper images/videos on your existing backglass or dmd monitor.

I love having movie clips playing on my topper for tables.  I just copy a youtube video and rename it like my table name and place it in my table videos folder.  It then plays when launching table through PinballX

Thanks for the advice guys.....it’s really helped out by giving me some direction here as to what has to be done.....I have just a couple followup questions that will help me get a Topper up and running.

I don’t have a Topper monitor yet but based on GTXjoe saying that I “can experiment now by displaying the topper images/videos on your existing backglass or DMD monitor” it sounds like I can send the videos to my existing BG and adjust the size and position accordingly in Pinball X “Displays” setup screen?

Here is what I’ve done so far but have not been able to get a Topper video to display on my BG yet.

1)Downloaded a Topper video, renamed it to match the BG and table exactly, just as when you install a new table and BG. I placed the renamed video here Pinball X/Media/Videos.

2)Went into Pinball X settings menu and clicked on “Display Settings”, I scrolled down to the Topper settings and changed “Topper Enabled” from no to yes. Set “Topper Display” to Display 2 as that’s my BG Display. I left X and Y fields blank for now.

3)I went into Pinball X Game Manager and imported the Topper video by selecting Topper then Import and then imported the video from the Videos folder(where I earlier placed the video)

Nothing displays on the BG but the existing B2S BG......so I figure that I either missed a step somewhere, did something incorrectly or misunderstood that this could be displayed on the BG along with the B2S.

Thanks for helping to clarify....

Maybe the topper is hiding behind the backglass. As a test Try making the backglass width and height small like 25 x 25 and see if topper is visible
