So I got back from holidays a week ago knowing that Zen and Steam had released the Williams tables in early October.  Well its been a busy week, DOFLinx is updated for the new FX3 EXE and can be found here once released for download.  In addition to this I've created active backglasses, MX effects and detailed force feedback for the 4 new Williams tables - my way to say, it was worth the wait !  Thanks to gigalula for the help.

You can see what Fish Tales with an active backglass andMX effects looks like here https://youtu.be/2LI4LfSp6YE

The quick checklist to get everything working;

  • Download and install the new EXE and FX3 files
  • Update your DOFLinx.INI with the 4 new lines of GAME_COLOUR= if you use these.  My suggestions are in the sample INI files included in the release package, the last 4 lines.
  • Get your new Directoutputconfigxx file if you are using MX effects
  • Download and install the 4 new directb2s backglasses - I will upload these and add them to the master list stick thread in the DOFLinx forum
  • Play and have fun

At present I am aware of two possible bugs that I am awaiting further information to be able to pursue;

- Force feedback effects stopping after a really long FX3 game

- Second Pinscape device causing an error

The release notes are:

V6.51 4/11/18
- Update for the FX3 Williams update EXE
- Correction to FX3 file for Star Wars Droids
- FX3 files for Fish Tales, Junkyard, Medieval Madness and Getaway

Thanks for the update. I have a Pincontrol2 board, should it work at the moment as I noticed your bug note in update :

Don't seem to have anything working at present in PBFX3 with Pincontrol2 board.

Thanks

I'm only home on the weekends for the next month still....but I gave it a quick test in the cabinet while I had a chance.

Everything for me is working fantastic....including PuP SSF (Pinup Player - Surround Sound Feedback) for the Williams tables!

Great job DDH69!

@zorg2000k, Pincontrol2 should be working as per previous versions, no change to it in this version.  In fact it happened to be the output device I used during development this time before testing in the cabinet.  If you've got issues, start a thread with all the details and we'll work through it.

Awesome work, thank you very much!! Everything is working like expected.

Nice to haves:

- More use of the toys, like the strobe or turnlight when for ex. multiball happens during fishtales. (I have no idea how had this is to implement, i just felt we could use more toys ;)

Is it also possible for ourselfs to modify those backglass files? As you can see on the attached file, i would rather have a backglass without the speaker zone on the bottom. I'm happy to do it myself, but i do not know with what i can do that...

I hear you on the strobe, etc for Fish Tales.  Unfortunately there are not too many triggers in that game that I can hook into.  I will still put it on my to do list and see if there is a way.

As for the B2S and grill.  Yes you can edit any backglass using the backglass editor.  I don't think you need to though, just go into the B2S Server settings and change the grill option (sorry I'm at the desktop and can't remember the exact option).  I have it displayed on my cabinet without the grill, you can see this on the video link above.

Just got home from work on the 5th and starting to look now.  Couldn't check last night as it was my daughter's 21st birthday (yes I feel old).  I have pre-prepared 3 x active backglasses, MX effects and basic FX3 files ready.  Should hopefully have a full release soon.
