Once released for download the new version will be available here.
Three things really in this new release;
1. Some code tidy up which will help as Steam change versions .... yeah, yeah, so what
2. A few new FX3 files making Ironman, Pasha and Epic Quest even better ........ not bad, sort of interesting
3. If you have a Pinscape and FX3, the ability to shove your cabinet and get nudge into FX3 games ........ now this is more pinball like !
The guide has details of all of the new settings for nudge and joystick offsets, so have a look there. The short version for those that hate the manual .....
- Make sure you have your Pinscape nudge setup properly as a joystick (read the Pinscape setup help for that if you don't already have it for VPX)
- Add JOY_PORT= to your DOFLinx.ini - most will be JOY_PORT=1 for the first joystick port
- Start DOFLinx in DEBUG and right click to the "Test Joy Stick" option
- With the cabinet still, get your offset
- Now try some values in the three boxes and nudge your cabinet. Stick with the values that bring up the appropriate "NUDGE" indicator. Note down all of the values.
- Add those values to JOY_X_OFFSET, JOY_RIGHT_OFFSET, FX_LEFT_NUDGE_POINT, FX_RIGHT_NUDGE_POINT, FX_FORWARD_NUDGE_POINT in your DOFLinx.INI
- Change your FX3 nudge keys away from L-Ctrl and R-Ctrl (Space is OK for forward nudge), I suggest "L" and "R"
- Add the keys you setup for FX3 nudge to your DOFLinx.INI - FX_LEFT_NUDGE_KEY, FX_RIGHT_NUDGE_KEY, FX_FORWARD_NUDGE_KEY
- Optionally, if like me you have a second set of magna save buttons set to L-Ctrl and R-Ctrl that you use for button based nudge and in your menu and other emulators and don't wish to set those to "L" and "R" then setup the FX_LEFT_INPUT and FX_RIGHT_INPUT parameters that will detect those and hence use both button based and accelerometer nudge for FX3.
Have a look in the sample INI folder at my INI if you want to see it setup as above. Of course you will need your own offsets and nudge points.
I have sore hips after testing this release! As always .... enjoy.
