File Name: Harlem Globetrotters (Bally 1979)_VPX_DOZER_1.0a

File Submitter: Dozer316

File Submitted: 07 Jun 2018

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): JPSalas - VP9 - Dozer VPX Port.
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1979
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Harlem Globetrotter On Tour - VPX Conversion.

Many thanks to JP for the original table which served as the base for this conversion.

Table was authored using the 10.5 beta cycle so please use that version to play.

Table uses fast flips as well so please make sure your scripts and vpinmame are up to date.

F6 brings up dip switch settings - tailor the game rules to your liking.

By default, the game is configured to use the 7 digit ROM.

Either this, Bally Playboy, Kiss or Strikes & Spares was the first solid state pinball machine I played - memory is a little rusty but it was certainly around that time - late 70's, early 80's :)

Have Fun - Dozer.

Looking at Laylow video it seems like a very nice recreation. I remember this table very well. It was one of my goto tables when my pockets was almost empty. Play it up to max credits in order to sell them off so I could play another pin. If I'm not mistaken, that was actually Kiss. It must have been a 6 digit rom because I also remember that I struggled to get the high score on it. I believe it was at 999.970 or something. Never managed to break it. Obviously tilted before rolling over.

Thank you very much Dozer and JP !

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Fantastic table, looks brillant.

The BiP Textbox is on the wrong side. In the desktop view the BiP Textbox is left over games to play. Turn it to the right side over the Match Textbox.

regards

Cheers Bolt - version (a) uploaded with this fix.  Also made a small adjustment to a material in desktop mode for the shadow under the shooter lane guard primitive.

Cabinet users need not update - nothing cabinet specific was changed.

Dozer.

Hi Dozer! In 2016 I made a Harlem G. table for VPX. And I fixed a little the graphics from the VP9 table, in case you want to use them in your table. The table is here at vpforums.

If you want to check my latest uploads then click on the image below:

Next table? A very rare table, only one was ever produced

Wow JP, I completely missed your VPX release otherwise I would have chosen something else to convert - man, I can't believe it lol.    I still had the VP9 version on my cab and I'm pretty OCD when it comes to making sure it's updated when a VPX version replaces it so I thought it had not been ported across yet.    Oh well, it was a nice spare time filler over the past week and I guess we have two versions now.

Thank you very much for the offer - when I get some time I'll check it out.

Dozer.

I keep getting the error VPMflips:error:Variable is undefined on my cabinet

I have updated VPX and PinMame to the latest version.

What the heck am I doing wrong?
