Hello everyone. I am looking for a little help on a pitch and bat project. Im going to take a real pitch and bat game but use the Line Drive cabinet game to run the scoring on the back glass. Sort of like .The Rascal Hybrid Bowling game.that uses a real shuffel alley but the pins and score are run through a computer and shown on a monitor. I have one of these and it works great.

The progran is already there.Williams Line Drive for MAME Ive never written script but have some knowledge of how it works. The knowledge from other people will really get this thing together.

How can I get the triggers on the simulator ot react the a keybord emulation.so when the ball hits triggers PHYSICALLY on the board the software will read it.

I don't want to ramble on with more questions so ill start here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim

I have been helping Jim on this. Basically he wants to wire the targets on the real table to a ipac and then have the ipac do the keydown presses on the vp scripted table which will now control the b2s second screen as its backglass. His machine is missing the backbox. Hopefully he will keep us up to date on the progress. I modified the table so that "a" through "i" emulate the playfield targets and 5 is coin and 1 is start. If anybody else is interested in doing this, let me know and I will send you my modified script. I hope Jim will make a video of this working, and also his bowler which is linked to Williams Triple Strike.

Here are some videos of the hybrid backboxes that I'm creating for cprdunsal and his Line Drive pitch and bat which is missing the backbox. He also has a Omni shuffle bowler which is missing the head (pins and backbox). So this is a mix of pitch and bats and bowlers. Cprdunsal will post some videos of it working when he's ready. The rollover switches on the bowler and the targets on the pitch and bat are wired to two separate I-PAC controllers to signal the VP/vpm hybrid backglasses. So you have half real and half virtual features. The back boxes will be rotated tvs standing upright. The videos are me pressing the keys manually on a keyboard, but this does work via the I-PAC, its been tested. Later on if anybody is interested, I'll check with Noah Fentz (Paul) about a section where I can upload and share these.

Ok everyone.Run over to YouTube and see some videos of the Hybrid Pitch and Bat and also the Hybrid Shuffle Bowler.

https://www.youtube....P7yoZ_72rvmAwkg

The Pitch and Bat is closer to being completed but with the holidays coming up on me I've had my time diverted. I can't thank Rascal enough for putting games together for these machines.

My next videos will show both machines working with multiple games and as these projects move forward I'd like to get all the information on building the machines out there for anyone that's interested in making there own.

Currently there are 5 different Pitch and bat games and 16+ different Shuffle Alley games emulated. Rascal has done fantastic work on recreating these machines.

Id like to see if we can get some interest from other game builders to come up with more games to add to the list.

A new video has been posted over at...https://www.youtube....kVgIz_QFtJkThis video shows the Hybrid Bowling game. This is an over view of it almost complete and in working order. Im no movie star or film director so don't expect to see Oscar material over there. What you will see is a fantastic new game that anyone can build. Ive always wanted a shuffle bowling but knew it would break and Id either have to pay to get it fixed or it would end up sitting around not getting played.Take a ride over to...https://www.youtube....h?v=kVgIz_QFtJk and see whats there. Some of the same great people that have worked on Visual Pinball for many of years have had hands in this project. All the information on building this game will be available as soon as we decide where to consolidate it. Also there will be more in depth videos to guide interested builders along.

Hey Rascal, what exactly are these?  I stumbled across them while looking at slugfest videos.  Can you play these on a cabinet? What ever came of them?

After a second go through, is he pretty much playing Slugfest with a digital shuffle board table?

There are two different things here. The bowlers are meant to work with a shuffle alley lane with its switches hooked to a ipac. It allows you to play multiple different shuffle bowlers on one lane. It emulates the backglass and the pins.

Then there is some pitch and bats, one of them being Slugfest. Those are meant to be connected to a single pitch and bat playfield through a ipac and it also emulates the backglass and playfield lights on a vertical tv.

So hybrid in this case meaning half real and half virtual. I have them here https://www.dropbox....6bdmXFTK6a?dl=1

Looking for any additional info anyone might have on these hybrid shuffle tables, I know they are an odd ball, but should be added to library for tracking, lot of hard work here... What ver of VP9 was used for these tables?

I plan on taking a new style williams shuffle cabinet and gutting it, except for the pins/lights and playfield (switches), replace the electronics with a PC/VP/PBX and the scoreboard with an LED TV; in an effort to get the reliability up and maintenance hours and cost down.

Playing with the Strike Master table and script a little, I've noticed a few of the middle playfield switches are basically jumpered together (via script), not sure why, maybe there was a limit the inputs used/needed? Also, if using a keyboard directly, you will not have authentic game play because there are 4 pf switches that requires others to be pressed at the same time on the playfield before they are activated.

Artwork is great and project looks like these tables will pull it off with a little updating.
