Sharpshooter (Game Plan 1979)
This is my first VPX conversion.

VPX conversion from bodydump's VPT DT table.
I tried to match the gameplay from the real table as much as possible.  Tweaks to playfield, DT backglass, bumpers and a few dozen other things.
Enjoy!
Modifications, corrections and fixes welcomed.

DT Backglass with ideas and graphics from Thingamajiik's "remastered" edition.
B2s Backglass included based on darquayle's B2S and htamas's UVP backglass.

Simply love it. I know that someone will say that it is too bouncy. But, I don't know. I haven't seen the original in play yet so I'll have to peek at Youtube. But, what I do know, is that I like it a lot. There is one small thing though. You seem to have forgotten material under the plunger. It has that ugly purple color still and you could make some extra cabinet friends by just ticking "enable mechanical plunger". It works great, just not enabled by default.

Big thumbs up from me to you HSM !!

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Handsome Roger Sharpe on backglass. Saved pinball in court by calling out skilshot, and then making it. Saved VP by extension! Pretty sure there’s a drunk history episode about it.

Thanks, HSM!

How do you import these settings? I went to the Editor > File > Import > Backdrop POV, but it wants an xml file. I opened the POV file using Notepad & was able to manually copy the settings. But what am I doing wrong in order to Import them?

Just curious, how come some settings go out to several decimal places? IOW the layback is 56.7999999 instead of 56.8. I've just never seen that before.

Also, I'm currently playing in DT mode and have a movable DMD displayed on the backdrop. That's in addition to the scores showing properly. I went into the script & changed ShowDMDOnly to 0, but that made no difference. How do you turn off the DMD?

Thanks for the settings.

Drop targets now use "Dropped" event, instead of "Hit".

That's correct.

Sub TargetS_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 1:End Sub
Sub TargetH_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 2:End Sub
Sub TargetO1_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 3:End Sub
Sub TargetO2_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 4:End Sub
Sub TargetT_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 5:End Sub
Sub TargetE_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 6:End Sub
Sub TargetR_Dropped:dtDrop.Hit 7:End Sub

Star triggers don't have an assigned material, and on the gate brackets there is some remnant of the VP9 table, two ramps that can be delete.

The decimals arrive from the setting in camera mode, only to round the values after setting the table.

Good job, thanks!

Yes, very bouncy. I see some videos on YT and that is normal on the real table. So very good replication.

But I change some things. The ball jumps, if he rolls on the flippers. So I change both walls and the ball rolls without jumping,

Also I open the KickerWall, so it's easier to shoot in the kicker. I can't shoot in with normal settings.

And if the ball runs down the plunger lane, he often jumps back in the ball release and the table has to be quit.

Thanks, guess I was changing the wrong thing.

Good job, thanks!

When I used camera mode it showed 3 decimal places instead of 6. Not a big deal because 2 decimal places seem enough. I was just curious how 6 places were arrived at.

You have to rename the new POV File to your Tablename, then just open Table > Start > Settings will load automatically to the Table.
Then you can Save the Table (but you don't have to do this), if you like the Settings and always want to use this.

And if i Change something with the Camera Mode, then i always correct the Values to max. 1 Decimal e.g. 20.8 ( before 20.799567 )
