Hi,

after I asked Fuzzel if he could make some jump ramp models for me, he redid the boxer and created new wire ramps too. This was the start for the new VPX build with completely new rope jump code and some ball behaviour improvements. The ball is flying freely now, jumping over the plastics and ramps as in the real pin.

I gave Flupper's clear ramp tutorial a try and the result is quite impressive, even with my limited blender skills.

I will work a bit on some more table details and the dimmed GI during fights. The normal GI strings are not working as I would expect them and there seems to be no extra solenoid for voltage control.

Regards

Michael

I finally got my CP working correctly by replacing the pinball with non magnatized ones.  I took video of the boxer a few years back for the VP9 version.  Just ask if you want a videos of a real CP or anything else you might need.  Good luck, this is an awesome table.

I was just playing the VP9 version yesterday. thinking how great it would be to have a VPX one!  Definitely an under-appreciated pin.

Strangely many hate it. Find it one of the funniest tables.. And definitely one with lots of innovative toys

You've tried doing them the same way Scared Stiff does?    If you want to PM me a test table I can look into this on the VPM side... (VP9 is a pain to test modulated flashers / fading lights with...)

You could look at one of the later releases I did of TAF.  It's also got the 8step GI in it and you could see how I did that.  Not saying its the best, but it works.

It should work but make sure your procedure names aren't conflicting with each other. UpdateGI is already used for something in the VP9 script so that was causing errors when I messed with it.

The problem on the GI calls is that the solenoids for the GI strings are working - but not as intended, if compared to a gameplay video on papa.org.

Granted I'm just looking at textboxes in the vp9 version, but the GI is dimming and strobing during the fights. The spotlights on the fighter should be flashlamps.

Great news! If I may, I suggest you to use flupper1's great flipper primitives from his Diner table :)
