Hi

I've got PinDMDv3 working with VP and FP however I'm noticing a distinct difference in the brightness....FP seems to be nearly 50% lower brightness it seems.

Does anyone else have the same issue or has seen the same results?

I know I can change the PinDMD brightness, however can I change the brightness for FP only and leave VP at the current level, or is it a single global brightness for all uses?

Cheers

-Iain

Hi Iain,
I don’t run FP but noticed similar things in VP on my dmd2. After replacing my dmddevice.dll with freezys some of the table DMD displays were normal brightness and others that were bright before were now probably at half brightness. I never did get answer to that question myself. Since then I’ve upgraded to a pinDMD3 and all the tables display a nice bright DMD.
If I had to guess it may be related to your dmddevice.dll. I know nothing about FP though and don’t even know if that file is used in FP.
Sorry I can’t be of more help but am just relaying my experiences with DMD display brightness.
Hope you find an answer here

I have never used PinDMD but you can increase the brightness of a DMD in FP by opening the FP editor for the table you want to change and then click on the DMD.  Then click on "Matrix Color" and move the slider up to make the DMD lighter.

I don't know if this will help,

George

Pindmd3 is a hardware dmd where you can adjust the brightness via a utility from the original download site.
I believe I have mine set to 6% - long time since I adjusted. Pretty low, but still it is a very bright display. I think it was set to 10% from fabric.

FP - sorry I don't know and absolutely don't care ;)

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
