Hi There Owen, Neophyte is right. TerryRed is the oracle on this and helped me no end with all his you tube vids. Because of him I have set up the 3 screen model and its great. Well worth looking into his videos on you tube, a really clever guy.
Anyway to help you trawling through all his vids I will try and help with the basic problem you have found.
Future pinball is only a 2 screen program, future dmd is ok as it is running outside of future pinball on the third monitor. To get the vids etc to show on the third monitor you need to do the following.
1. Set up all your monitors in control pannel to be running as a single screen (i think its desktop mode) so that you have your main playfield screen on the left as the primary screen, the second backglass monitor as the screen to the right of it and the dmd/video screen directly below that one in the middle of it. If you move your mouse it should now move from screen to screen as if it was one screen. OK you have probably already done this so next is the bit you need.
2. You need to make Future pinball think that the second monitor is bigger in depth than it is then it will flow into the third monitor. This is the tricky bit, you need to alter your registry IMPORTANT not for your main computer settings, but just for future pinball software. This sounds scary but you can only mess up future pinball if you do it wrong which can be reloaded so trust me its worth doing it.
Here is what you do click your start button and in the search button type 'regedit' this gets you into your registry. On the left hand side there is a list of different programs. You need to find Future pinball in here somewhere, in mine it is under a folder called software, once found open the file and you then have some more folders, there should be one called 'game player' thats the one i found the info for the monitors on yours may be different but anyway there will be a long list of lines but look out for ones that resemble your monitor screen resolutions they will all will be in there somewhere. My second monitor is 1600x900 so i found the 900 dim line and altered it to 1255 so that Future pinball thinks the second monitor extends into the third. you have to right click the registry line and modify it, you get two value options one will give you it in mm one in some wierd value click the one that puts it in mm and change it to what suits your set up so that it only takes the top half of the third screen leaving the bottom for future dmd. You need to experiment a bit by going back into future pinball and seeing what you get. But that is the bit that took me a lot of time to work out and i found it on some blog that TerryRed wrote (thanks Terry). Warning Do not touch anything in the registry other than future pinball or it could cause major problems with your system.
3.If you havent already, install BAM follow this link form the man himself
http://www.vpforums....showtopic=36449 this will help you set up everything and in Future Pinball via Bam by pressing Q you can change all your screen settings for backglass and table size real easy its great!.
4. Now you have to learn a little bit about Future pinball to get the video showing where you want it, trust me this is all gonna take some time but is rewarding and worth it in the end. When you open Future pinball without playing the game go to the translite icon. then click the magnifying glass right click to zoom out. right click on the dmd unlock it and move it off the translight (backglass) to the left then unlock and move the video where you want it, there may be something under the video you need to move on some games too. you then need to resize it by typing in numbers on the right x and y dims. Sometimes you need to right click on items to bring them to the front or the back to get them in the right order. You have to do it all so that it matches where you want the video to be. It is a lot of twoing and frowing. Then I sugest setting up PinballX which is a great front end.
Hope I have helped you out. Once you get it up and running its your turn to help out someone else. Good luck mate!
