File Name: Road Girls V1.0 Revised (Physics 2.7 DOFLinx)

File Submitter: senseless

File Submitted: 29 Jan 2017

File Category: Future Pinball

Author(s): Blindmankind, senseless (DOFLinx)
Manufacturer: Original
Year: 2007
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Road Girls V1.0 Revised by Blindmankind Pinball

DOFLinx mod by senseless

DOFLinx - "A powerful utility for cabinet owners to make the most of force feedback and lighting." - by DDH69
This Future Pinball table has DOFLinx commands added to it. This will enable support for pinball cabinet force feedback devices such as solenoids (flippers, bumpers, slingshots, drop targets, etc), RGB lighting and flashers, beacon, strobes, blower fan, shaker and more!

Cabinet Use: For cabinet users running DOFLinx: This table will function with the in-game sounds for mechanical devices such as flippers, slingshots, bumpers, etc muted.  Instead, you will only hear your cabinet's feedback devices for those actions. The rest of the game's sounds will play normally as intended by the table author.

Desktop Use: For desktop users: This table will still function normally without the need for DOFLinx to be running or installed (read "Requirements / Installation"). It will play perfectly with the original in-game mechanical sounds playing through your PC's speakers. Note: Any DMDs or HudOverlays intended for desktop use were moved out of view so that they will not appear on the playfield (this was intended for DOFLinx cabinet use) .

Night Mode: For cabinet users who want to play at night with their cabinet noise makers turned off, this table can be toggled between Cabinet Use (noisy), and Desktop Use (Night Mode). Please consult the DOFLinx guide (included with the DOFLinx install package) for more information on how to use Night Mode.

Please read Requirements / Installation to setup DOFLinx.

I hope you enjoy this DOFLinx cabinet experience!

I was trying this table tonight and it wouldn’t start the ball for me.  I could add coins and all but it wouldn’t release the ball.

is there anything I should check?  I’m on the latest BAM and DOFLinx...

@Outhere I grabbed the v1.2 and redeployed...It still won't release a ball so I can play it....I even tried changing the freeplay bit to see if it made a difference.  Any other ideas?

@Outhere I tried that..It doesn't seem to be a focus issue.  I clicked...It takes coins, my start button flashes but it doesn't release the ball for some reason

I’ll clean the libraries and vram...

Is there anything I need to turn off for cabinet mode?  Anything in backglass?

I’m on the latest on my cabinet, I checked that...My desktop is slightly behind.

I may need to turn on/off every setting and retest.  I can’t think of what else to do and I often see things behave differently if I turn off playfield reflections or ornaments etc...I just saw that with Three Angels abd Futurama (though it’s backglass won’t show!)

unless there is something else to try...

Yes, for the most part tables work.  SLAMT1lT, Terry Red's PinEvents...

I've definitely had issues along the way, but in the end they work.

My rig is beefy too...RTX2060, Rizen7 etc....

Maybe there are NVIDIA settings I could set for FP and BAM? I know this is more of a game play thing vs a crash but I've seen some interesting things when turning off/on the different rendering things in FP...

With all those games working for you there should be no reason why this one don't work

Yeah I don't get it.  I always seem to have weird stuff happening.  I used Terry's guide for my setup, but who knows why...

I may try a few other things:

1. I found a post for another table but similar issue which spoke of adding code inFuturePinball_BeginPlay() ..ResetForNewGame()

2. I can try turning off Full Screen..I saw a post somewhere about tables not starting to try that..

3. I can try running as admin (though I hope its not that!)

It's not antivirus, checked that...I killed DOFLinx to try without that...didn't help

I performed the mod of the table.  The ball has always released for me but every PC is different.  Try increasing the strength of the Plunger Kicker.  Open the table editor for the table.  Hold down the shift key and click on the number 5 in the left pane.  Look for a round object on the bottom right side of the table.  Click on it and you will see "PlungerKicker" at the top of the right pane.  Scroll down and find the slider name "Strength".  Move the slider a bit to the right and play the table.  Save changes if it works.  Try changing it again if it does not work.

@GeorgeH I don’t think this is about kicker strength.  I’m assuming you mean the launch power of the plunger...  I probably didn’t describe it well.

The ball never comes out. I add coins.  I press the start button but the ball never drops.  I’m not sure of the correct terminology..On my desktop I see the ball come out and then I can launch.  There is nothing to kick in this case oj my cabinet.  Unless the kicker is what makes the ball show.

thank you
