DOFLinx version 4.20 is now available here  (once released)

The fixes and improvements relate to Pinball FX2 full memory mapping.  The changes are;

V4.20 7/12/16
  • Update to cope with the new Pinball FX2 release
    Will now work with both versions
  • New FX2 files for American Dad and Archer
  • Improved FX2 files for The Avengers, Bob's Burgers, Age of Ultron, Archer and Civil War to mirror flashers

So this version blew my entire last weekend as Steam released their new version.  Hopefully this weekend I can play some pinball and make some new FX2 files ..... hmm :hmm:  might even look at some of the new ones first, ie Women of Power and Bethesda, we'll see where the mood takes me!

The link will work fine.... but we have to wait for the site admin to approve the file first. (hence the brackets saying "once released")

DDH69,

DOFLinx version 4.10 is now available here  (once released)

The fixes and improvements relate to Pinball FX2 full memory mapping.  The changes are;

V4.20 7/12/16
  • Update to cope with the new Pinball FX2 release

Just need some clarification on if the version should be 4.10, or 4.20?

The download page is labelled as 4.20, but the file is actually 4.10B

It doesn't include American Dad, or Archer, and the Guide,etc still say 4.10

Sorry for the confusion, I must have cut and paste 4.10 into the first line at the beginning of this thread - just fixed that it's definitely 4.20

Once released it does have American Dad, etc.

Either way, when you click the link, it says DOFLinx 4.20 on the "agree and download" page, but when you click download, what you actually get is 4.10B, without the new files (American Dad, etc).  I'm still new to this site, but that seems wrong to me -- even if the file hadnt been approved yet?

Heres what it looks like:

Oh, the download page also has a little blurb at the top that says "

This file has been reported as broken because: got a message to contact the administrator ? is it really broken ??"

In the downloads section the owner of the download can leave previous version there if they wish.  I tend to leave the current and last version.  This ensures that people can still download a version while the new one awaits release from one of the site administrators.

I am currently finding out, but I believe the "broken" message is simply from someone reporting it through a misunderstanding similar to yourself.  I am trying to find out how this message can be cleared.

Anyway, the short story, the current version is 4.20, you do have the correct link, it can just take a few days for uploaded files to be released.

I'm wondering if something got screwed up.  DOFLinx 4.20 link was waiting approval before Tron Legacy was uploaded.

Tron Legacy was approved yesterday, and the DOFLinx 4.20 "link" also started working at around the same time....

....the link is working now (it wasn't when 4.20 was first posted), but we still only see the 4.10B when we get to the final download page (which should have the older / newer files).   Yes the "broken" message has nothing to do with this.

Just letting you know the timing of things in case something is messed up.

The 4.10B version doesn't work with the newest version of pinball fx2 on steam right?  So I shouldnt bother trying it out?

I feel like TerryRed is right.  The link didn't work for hours (like you guys said previously, it wasn't approved), but then when it started working much later in the day, it keeps saying you're downloading version 4.20 on every page right up until you grab the actual file and then it forces 4.10B on you.  The other weird thing is, the post originally said "4.20" in the beginning of the message, and then later on in the day it started saying "4.10", and then DDH made that comment about how he must have copy and pasted the wrong text, so he changed it back to 4.20 in the message.  The thing is though, it said 4.20 for hours before it somehow got changed to say 4.10 in the original post.

Thanks everyone for letting me know.  I have no idea what's gone wrong, the most likely answer is that I fucked up somehow.  When I looked there was no V4.20, you were all correct, but I uploaded it!

Anyway, I've just updated the DOFLinx download.  I've added V4.20 and deleted V4.10B.  This should ensure no confusion.

Again, sorry - I don't know what or why, but being the human involved in the process, probably something I did or didn't do.  :facepalm:

Hey, the main thing ....... enjoy FX2 full force back again.  Hopefully I get some time on the weekend to look at a few more games (that is if TerryRed stops modding FP tables that I "need" the try out :tongue3:  )

Just gave this a quick run....seems to be working great! Including the default.fx2   file.

Sorry DDH69.....but I'm already well underway modding another FP table.

I hope you like Mech Walkers, flying creatures...and lots of blue and purple colours.  :)
