Manufacturer: Gottlieb

Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

VP10.2 release of my favourite table.  Use the left flipper to pull up the options. The rules are slightly different from 3 to 5 balls.
Complete the sequence to score the unlimited specials. The table is tough but it can be beat!

Grab the updated backglass directb2s to move the high score upto the backglass from VP9 apron.

Awesome table, played it often in my youth, usually for several hours, once you got that special lit you could usually get enough free games to last an afternoon.

Is VP10.2 really needed? Seems to run just fine here with VP10.1....though I do notice some slight graphics glitches, still it runs and plays OK in VP10.1, without any terminal errors occurring.

Steve I also run this in 10.1 , so i think its fine in ether

also the top left hit target is glowing this is because the target is set to "disable lighting" .... (my fault for not seeing that)
select the target in the editor, look at the option menu to the right, uncheck "disable lighting"
save the table

I was looking for that for a while too ...Figured it was a bug :-)

I will post an update at some point - esp. once Argrin gets a chance to look it over. I dont have th rgb/lights so I dont know if all that is perfect.

PS. I say 10.2 since I read somewhere that if I opened & saved with 10.2 then it might make the file only compatible with 10.2.

At least for now as long as you don't use any of the new features of 10.2 it will be fine in 10.1, but at some point they will turn on a check and if the version number isn't new enough it won't play.

Gigantic or midget view, you decide, either way really liking this table, really plays and looks great. Still think those ugly text boxes could should be replaced with em reels, lighting on lights 9, 4 and 5 seem slightly over bright and a higher resoltion backdrop image would be nice for DT users. Not a big fan of the spinner reflection here which seems to render intermittently, though really loving it and just an honest review of this great recreation if that is allowed...

When you play this table with an VPX5 installation change in line 565

drain.kick to force = 38 instead of 28 (original set)

otherwise the drain is to weak to kick the ball over the ramp.

With the authors permission. I wasnt to use this terrific table, to create 1976 Gottlieb Ship Ahoy...the Add-a-Ball version of Buccanner. Mostly the same, except for some artwork and chimes.

dont know if its a fault got all lights out

and special under the 10 lane stays lit

and you get free plays.

when you start a new game number 10 is still lit

not a problem as lots of replays :otvclap:

the 10 light only goes out if  you turn off and  then turn back on

but still an excellent e.m

I noticed the same thing today. Special light should go out at game end.

I can confirm Mustang1961's findings. If the kick force is not adjusted the kicker takes two shots to get the ball to the plunger lane and the ball in play jumps by two.
Perhaps the author could issue a version update since the table was created in 10.2 and obviously the VPX version upgrades have altered this table's behaviour? Just a suggestion.

Cheers,

Nursie
