File Name: Smart Set (Williams 1969) B2S MOD

File Submitter: loserman76

File Submitted: 13 Aug 2016

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Kees (original table)
Loserman76 (b2s code mod and backglass)
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1969
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

With permission from Kees, I present an modded version of Smart Set with b2s backglass. Image for backglass courtesy of Wildman.

Enjoy!

If you wish to play in cabinet mode, go to the backdrop settings and move everything on that screen off the table space so that you don't have scoring/numbers/etc on your table.

I would like to request permission to release a modded version of this table, which includes many visual updates.

I have a question:

we have the issue that we cannot easily see if the post is up or down.

What must I change to have the superb appearance of the post as it is in Gay 90s???

Post in Smart Set:

Attached File  Post Smart Set.jpg   23.14KB   2 downloads

Post in Gay 90s:

Attached File  Post Gay 90s.jpg   26.52KB   2 downloads

all hints are welcome thanks in advance, Christian.

Would be a fine Change - i didn't check it on both Tables, could be a Wall or a Primitive, and both should be "easy" to do.

Christian: but there is also an updated Version on V-Pinball, but with the same "Post".

In my version "Smart Set (Williams 1969) DB HF 1.2" it's easy to see, if it is up or down.

"easy"? Ok, I tried it. I copied all of the nice Gay 90s solution to Smart Set including the movement of the primitive with the virtual flipper finger. But in the end  .. I was not successful, see:

Post down looks now -> Attached File  Post down Smart Set.jpg   29.46KB   2 downloads

Post up -> Attached File  Post up Smart Set.jpg   31.12KB   2 downloads

better than before, but can anyone tell me what I have overseen?

Thank you, Christian.

I can't check it in the moment, but it must be this file by Drybonz and HauntFreak:

Mustang1961... check out the modded version of this table by myself and hauntfreaks.  You should notice quite a few differences.

yes, the graphics are more crisp. AND Post Up and Post Down targets are now at their original position on the playfield. But the "Same Player Shoot Again" indication in the BG is not working. To correct this,

add in line 582 and 583 :  if B2SOn then Controller.B2SSetShootAgain 1

add in line 722: if B2SOn then Controller.B2SSetShootAgain 0
