I'm in the process of researching my cabinet build that I'm starting this fall/winter. Through all my searching over the past several months I've had no luck finding a solution for full force feed back across TP, FP, FX2, TPA. Seems that VP can do full force feed back no issue. (What I mean by full force back is 8 to 10 solenoids, LEDs, shakers, etc). Is there a way to setup force feedback on the other platforms? Specifically interested in Pinball FX2 and TPA. Optoflipper by Zebs seems like it will get me flipper feedback on all, but not for the playfield. Any help is appreciated and I aplogize if this is redundant but digging for hours on end have led me to clear answer.

There are FP tables with modified scripts that will drive feedback but for those that are missing you would have to manually edit the script to make it happen.

I'm not aware of ways to make the other platforms drive feedback.

Its a shame that the devs on the other platforms dont add in hardware support. Honestly, its whats keeping me from installing any of the other games. If it doesnt drive output devices I dont want it.

Yeah that sucks I been hoping that was on the table for fx2 and TPA. Both have great tables and are pretty easy to set up.

I have the "poor man's" feedback.... a vibrating speaker driver attached under my lock bar that effectively turns it into a speaker. Splitting the mechanical sounds to this as a second audio device means that I feel everything.... even the small vibrations (sounds) that can't be replicated by shakers etc.  Perhaps this is a fall back option for the other platforms if they allow mechanicals to be split in the audio?

I've read about doing that which is intriguing. Ive also read about using 2 sound systems which might be my sort of poor mans option.

I've just written some code to give flipper, RGB Led and button led feedback for Pinball FX2 using DOF.  Its not full forece feedback, but its made Pinball FX2 better for me.  Have a read here.

I started with the second sound system being a bose mini sound dock laying flat on it's "hard" back in the bottom of my cab. It worked, but the feel wasn't strong enough and that lead me to try the little vibrating driver under my lock bar. The drivers are cheap at $25 and I'm told that you can daisy chain them too, so putting one under each hand would give heaps more feel if needed.  That said, I have one in the middle and I think the amount of feedback is just right. Placing my hand in the middle right over the driver gives too much feedback IMO.

NOTE: My lock bar is wooden as it has MAME controls in it. It sounds great, but if using a genuine stainless lock bar some experimenting with a timber laminate underneath may be required to stop it sounding too "tinnie"???  Another option might be to use two drivers and place them on the sides of the cab beside the flippers? Either way, I think this "sound method" of feedback definitely needs these vibrating drivers over just more speakers, as the volume required to feel regular speakers would be quite high. These drivers allow you to feel even the most subtle of sounds at a low volume.

Rusty can you post a link to the drivers your using i think i could mount these various places in the cab to create some feedback

I have this one. https://wowzr.com.au...bration-speaker  Ignore the Aussie price, cheaper clones can be found online. (just make sure you get the USB recharge/power ones and not the AAA battery powered ones)

If you want to feel the effects you would need to place them close to your hands. I don't think placing them around the cab would have the desired "feedback" effect that you're after.
