On the Robo-War cabinet table, the ball mistakenly seems to ride on the top layer (so the designer admits). It does interact properly with all the objects. Does anyone know how to fix this and get the ball to ride more lower on the table?

You have to play it with VP 9.21, this problem was never solved for VP 9.9

Thanks laylow. But isn't 9.2.1 an older version? I built my rig last winter and based it on the latest version 9, which is 9.9.2 (according to the info in the executable). Am I wrong?

You are correct.  9.9.2 is the newer version, however, a handful of tables written for the earlier version do not function 100% on the newer versions.  If you run them on the version they were written for, they are fine, but little things break with the newer versions.

On VP 921 looks like:

And on VP 993 looks good but layer problem is really game breaker:

Before the new VPX version was released I used to play this version of Robowar with the DX7 VP in my cabinet. I can't remember the reason why I used DX7 for this table (it was the only one) but I think it was something to do with the bumpers. The table was created for the DX7 of VP so definitely worth you trying that.

9.2.1 version uses DX7 and i got this:

robo_war_9aa45.jpg

Tried 9.1.5 version, looks exactly the same.

Only VP 9.9.3 gives a proper render but i got layer issue.

What to do?

You checked all the basic stuff like latest video cards drivers, etc. Sounds silly but you never know. I use 9.2.2 but I just tried on 9.2 and it looks fine nothing like the black mess you got. Weird

gtxjoe,

coyo5050,

I checked everything, drivers up to date. I don't know, i run only one DX7 table (Terminator2) and it runs good. For rest of the tables i use 9.9.3 and PM5 - no problems at all.
