Hauntfreaks
Arngrim
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1976
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

A bi-centennial themed machine from Bally that first arrived as a successful EM machine then followed up with the SS version.

Shoot the targets and score the wheel value with the kickers. The kickers are tough and the out lanes are inviting!

As with many games of this era, the key to a big score is in the bonus!

Note the spinner lights are not scripted (rom) correctly and will require a bit of research on the proper scoring/lighting.

Use F6 to select the 5 ball game and increase your chances at a good score!

Enjoy!

I've played this machine more than any other in my life. My neighbors had it and I always wanted to go over there to play. The "green eagle "became a reference for double bonus for lots of us kids for the rest of our lives. Thanks for this VPX release!

As noted above the "Lite Spinner" award isnt working correctly. It appears to be a rom emulation issue. It should light the 1000 for 3 ball games and 100 for 5 ball games. Still researching and seeing if there is a coding fix.

Dont forget about day/night slider to change the lighting to suit your preference. I believe there is even a VP10 option to have the day/light automatically change based on your local time :-)

Some tables may have a check mark to override your default preferences - you can turn that off or on to have the table default back to your global preferences.

Very nicely done, even with the small ROM issue.  I remember this machine very well and this is the best playing version I've found.  Don't get me wrong, it is not an easy table by any means, but the original was a very unforgiving table and this celebrates that.  First rate, indeed!
