Thought I'd post up the original design table I've been working on for some testing and feedback. As the title states I themed this table around the game of cribbage, but not only that the scoring is cribbage scoring as well. Those of you who know how to play cribbage will understand the table better and be able to figure out the better scoring combinations. This is em table styled and plays pretty much like one, and pulls in a lot of the table design elements from the 2 real tables I own, Joker Poker and Vulcan, plus the roto target I had fun creating with blender help from sliderpoint (thanks man! and for the testing and feedback as well)
Basically the game of cribbage is about scoring hands, and I have set up 4 color coded hands on the playfield each consisting of 4 cards and when each hand is cleared the cribbage score is pegged taking into account the turn card at the time as shown on the roto target. The 4 hands on the table are as follows:
1. the 5, 5, 6, 4 numbered drop targets in the lower left
2. the A, 2, 3 drop targets in the center along with the 2 rollover on the right side
3. the K, Q, J, rollovers at the top along with the 5 rollover on the left
4. the 6, 9 drop targets on the right with the 7 left inlane rollover and the 8 right outlane rollover
After you clear a hand that hand is reset for you to do over again. All hands are also reset at the end of each ball (5 ball game)
Other scoring opportunities exist during the play as well (the other aspect of the game of cribbage).
hitting a drop or rollover that matches the turn/roto card scores a pair (2 points or pegs as I'm calling them)
hitting the bullseye target in addition to spinning the roto scores 1 peg
hitting a lit star rollover scores 1 peg, stars are lit by clearing the K, Q, J, 7, and 8 wire rollovers and stay lit for the length of the ball
hitting the center rototarget in addition to spinning the roto also scores the value of that target (j, q, k count as 10)
Extra ball is lit when you have cleared any 6 lit wire rollovers, and opens the out gate below the 8 until the next ball (it is possible to save off the post but not always).
Clearing the 5 rollover also opens the gate below it, with very little chance to save, but the gate is closed if that hand (with K, Q, J) is reset/cleared.
When you have scored more than 120 points you win a cribbage game, and the cribbage board is reset. The game tracks not only the total number of pegs you have gotten, but also how many games you have won, yes it is a race between player 1 and player 2 and both start the "29" board over when one wins a cribbage game.
So the main play objective is to clear hands, and if you pay attention to the turn card (roto) you can score much higher hands, assuming you know cribbage scoring
short version - scoring is for pairs, runs and 15s (cards like 6 and 9 that add up to 15)
A basic directb2s is included, artwork is being created that will replace the backdrop and backglass at some future point.
There are a couple options available by holding down the left flipper key before starting a game.
And yes I do plan to fully add DOF as it moves forward.
Currently out on my dropbox https://dl.dropboxus...rgDog 2016).zip
Enjoy, and let me know what you think.
