Hi everyone,

(First post!)

Just installed FP + BAM (mode: SimpleCam) for the first time - installed smooth as silk :-)

Configured for 2 monitor setup with full screen + arcade mode, monitor 1 1920x1080, monitor 2 1280x1024

I downloaded my favourite table (High Speed 2) and ran it. Playfield is perfect, but Backbox only shows the "Future Pinball" logo (albeit correctly); no matter what I do, I can't get the translite (which I can confirm is included in the Texture Manager) to show! I've tried other tables and no matter what I do, all I get is the FP logo.

I'm losing my mind ... can someone *please* help??

Thanks in advance,

-Scott.

Here's something the manual didn't say:  After downloading the table, save the FPT file to the "Tables" directory and the FPL file(s) to the Libraries directory (!!!). Needless to say, I didn't have that; I do now but still no backglass other than the generic scripted "Future Pinball" logo. So, backglass support is running but for some reason it can't find the file(s) ...?

HELP!

Some of the games come with the FPL files and some do not

(Thanks for the reply!)

I'm glad to see I have the exact same settings as you.

Update! I pressed "Print Screen" (to attach a shot), and I got a momentary flicker of the backglass on Display 2. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to attach the screenshot to this message (?) but the image I'm seeing on display 2 is just like this (i.e. only shows the logo on a black screen): https://i.ytimg.com/...xresdefault.jpg

Am I close?

-Scott.

UPDATE!

When I press "Print Screen" twice, the backglass image appears!

(But the DMD stays on the playfield monitor ... one problem at a time)

What would be causing this?

Make sure in screen resolution for Windows you have the Playing field on the left and your backglass on the right like in the picture, I have three screens instead of 2...

Confirmed: playfield is exact same dimensions; backglass is 1280x1024 and on the right. Still same result.

Thanks again for your assistance ... this *must* be an easy fix!

With Future Pinball most of the tables that have DMD's come with it on the back glass and one on the table if you run in a cabinet you have to move the DMD to the side but that is the least of your problem right now...

SOLVED!

Thank you for pointing me off-forum, Outhere! The solution was taken from http://www.gopinball...kglass&start=40

On my laptop (with integrated graphics + nVidia card), FP did not like the integrated graphics card (and really, who does? :tongue3:  ) So I went into the nVidia Control Panel and explicitly set both futurepinball.exe and fploader.exe (aka BAM) to be processed by nVidia.

BOO-YA!!!

That's great to hear... To eliminate the DMD and other items from the playing field if you don't need them go into the editor bring up the game click on

the back glass (Translite) and you will see the items right click the item unlock it and move them to the side do not delete them... I know its weird they're on the back glass but that's how it's made

-

When you load a new table make sure you also exit and restart Future Pinball.  If you close a table and not the editor, loading a new table can cause problems.  A fresh start for each table will clear the memory and ensure the best performance

You're reading my mind! DMD is exactly the next step.

Ideally, I'd like to upgrade to a 3rd monitor setup for the DMD. I've heard about FutureDMD for that ... am I on the right track?

So I have the same problem but I'm using the internal video cards on my NUC. I tried the vertical sync but no luck. Print screen didn't help. Screens are set up correctly. Still future pinball as the backglass

Any other recommendations?

Thanks

Set Antialiasing to None. Your Backglass will reappear.

It appears your problem is fixed but I had already asked TerryRed and he said:

"If you run FP on a second screen, it normally shows the FP logo on that entire second screen while the game loads. After it's loaded, then the logo goes away.

I can see odd things like this happening when people are using integrated motherboard graphics...or laptops that have a dedicated GPU chip as well as integrated."
