EM table based on 1976 Surfer by Gottlieb.

This table is a demo of some new objects available in VP10

DOF is not working, is that an issue or normal behaviour ?

 

//edit : it works great now, I upgraded my DOF config file to the latest version.

Is it possible to have both the DMD and the EM reels working (on the backglass) at the same time?

The EM used to work on an earlier version but now with the new DMD it doesn't.

I don't know why you want to have the rotated emreels when playing in FS, but you can always comment the lines 79, 80 and 81. This ones:

 

        For each ii in aDesktopReels
            ii.Visible = 0
        Next

This way the reels will still be visible in FS mode.

No I don't mean the EM reels, that you can have displayed on the playfield - I mean the ones on the B2S blackglass.

I don't see any reason why they should not work.

Oh, well like I said it used to work on your earlier version, but since the introduction of your DMD it is only that which displays the credits, score etc... the blackglass remains at all zeros.

I also like having at least a picture on my backglass for each table.  The UltraDMD works fine with my PinDMD3 but the b2s reels don't change.

UPDATE

 

4.0.0 Update 27.11.2022

- Updated to my VPX7 physics and to my latest script and VPX techniques.

- Added some music, by Father Abraham & the Smurfs, which can be disabled at the start of the script.

 

And these are the last two VPX tables, Papa Smurf and Smurfette. These two tables complete all my updates. They were built first as an example of what VPX could do when it was released. A lot of things has happened since 2014/2015 They are no longer needed as an example, since many authors have been building their tables using much modern techniques But I wanted to update these two tables, since I could make them play well, and maybe some children will like the Smurfs Who knows?

 

Anyway they are more a rebuild than a simple update, since the whole script has been changed, extra walls has been added to help the rubbers feel more real and to give you nice rubber hit sounds, the lights has changed, the Gi has changed

 

I also added 8 songs by father Abraham & the Smurfs, which can be disabled at the start of script if you prefer to play a little more quiet The tables were just 6Mb without the music, and 17Mb with the music

 

Anyway, these two tables were a copy of the layout of two known Gottlieb EM tables, Surfer and Big Shot, so if you want to play with the more original graphics, then you have loserman's versions.

And I think there are one or two directb2s around from 2015 than other people made at that time And I guess there are no DOF for these tables, although I have added a few commands to the script in case you want to write your own config

There is no DOF
There is no DOF in smufette 1.2.1 either, so you must have a copy modified by someone else

 

If you want DOF then you will have to add it and then provide JP a copy of the revised script

JP has no DOF hardware, he cant test DOF, cant create DOF configs and so does not in general add DOF

These tables were built when DOF didn't existed. There are a few DOF commands in the script, but you need a config, and either you write it yourself or wait until a DOF guru does it for you

4.0.1 Updated 29.11.2022

- Fixed outlane awards bug, the extra ball and the special.

- Fixed droptargets award, it was only possible to get it once.

 

Things like this happens with old scripts updated to new scripts
