File Name: Volley (Gottlieb 1976) FS DOF

File Submitter: loserman76

File Submitted: 18 Dec 2015

File Category: VP 9.x B2S Cabinet Tables (B2S)

Author(s): Loserman76
Popotte
Arngrim
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1976
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

**** REQUIRES VP 9.9x *****
'*
'*        Gottlieb's Volley (1976)
'*        Table build/scripted by Loserman76
'*        Playfield/Plastics by Popotte
'*        DOF Coding by Arngrim
'*        http://www.ipdb.org/...ine.cgi?id=2743
'*
'*  Thanks to the following for their contributions (whether they know it or not!)
'*  If I have missed anyone, let me know as this table would not exist without the
'*  folks in the community.
'*
'*  JPSalas - gameroom backdrop
'*  EalaDubhSidhe - table object templates
'*  Black - HS save/load routines
'*  Inkochnito - scorecards/instruction cards
'*  Pinuck - Gottlieb chimes and score motor routines
'*  Herweh - directB2S designer and tools
'*  JimmyFingers - rolling ball and other objects' sound routines
'*  GNance - new options menu
The options menu is now available by holding down the left flipper key for about 2 seconds when a game is not in progress. Once opened, left flipper moves between the different menu items and the right flipper goes through that item's available choices.

This table uses Arngrim's new methodology for DOF/B2S configurations. Be sure to copy the controller.vbs file to your table folder if you don't already have one there.
First run of any table that uses this setup will ask you about DOF and what you have. After that, you are all set.
The backglass is a separate download, so be sure to grab that too

Very nice table and backglass. Beautiful bright crisp colors and graphics. I love these old EM tables. I grab every one I see!
Thanks very much!
Quick question.....how do you get the game to end? My games just seem to continue on into perpetuity. Well, there doesn't appear to be an end to the balls continuing to be ejected into the shooter Lane. Easy to beat the high score tables this way.
Thanks.

How do I show the initial DOF settings message when you first launch the table?

Thanks!

once you answer the dof questions it creates a file called controller.txt in your visual pinball\user folder.  If you delete that file it will ask the questions again, or you can just edit the file and change items if you wish, they are fairly self explanatory.
